Sigle desert Eagle

A future random of Sigle and Mustapha is genuinely exciting.

Was thinking that their skillsets seem to compliment each other nicely

Yeah for sure but both seem to be excellent tacklers who wrap up.

Sorry but aren't they both better coming downhill as box safeties ? Which one is better playing middle third? lol
Mustapha is definitely more of a SS to me. Sigle in his limited college tape that I saw, didn't really have a set position. That might have worked against him as many scouts werent sure what position he'd play in the pros.

I think for now, Pinnock will be given a long leash, considering reports from everyone from TC is that hes been making plays almost every day, has considerable NFL starting experience and has worked with Saleh before. I think barring an injury Pinnock will play the entire year at FS.

Has lynch even drafted a cover safety? Seems like all he drafts are SS gunners

Tarvarius Moore. Third round 2018. Combine star, 4.3 speed. The problem with him was he couldnt tackle and took horrific angles. He was pretty decent in coverage.

I guess? He was more a FS than SS for sure but idk if I'd call him a cover safety. Honestly looking into it, it's crazy we don't draft them. We've signed them like Gibson. Last I could find was Jimmie Ward? Even then I think he was drafted to be the slot. Before him you have to go all the way back to Reggie Smith and I can barley remember him if he even was

Moore was a FS, you can look at scouting reports from back then lol.

He's a 5th RD pick so why should we doubt it? All-pro here we come.

At times out there he actually looks pretty good. Plus he's fast and we have needs at Safety. So he has a real chance here. Maybe to eventually start.

Just cause you're listed as a FS doesn't necessarily mean your a cover safety I wouldn't say Goldson or even Mustapha are cover safety's. Maybe you're right cause I don't really remember him ever playing

That safety duo is going to be deadly
Glad he isn't too injured. I wanted him to start. Has such good range. We finally can transition to fast safeties that also have some decent instincts vs. the usual too slow safeties that can make plays here and there.
Isn't he more a FS?

I thought he had the skillset of a FS

That's what I thought too, I'm not a fan of changing positions Willy nilliy but Mustapha has shown he at least competent in coverage. I'd rather him back there and let Sigle gun. It probably doesn't matter cause Jiayir will probably start . I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt and see if Saleh can work his magic but last year was terrible

The free safety has a lot of responsibility in regards to communicating, making and adjusting calls, getting everyone in the secondary on the same page etc., and they likely don't want to put that responsibility on a rookie's plate.
