At least they're picking guys who are already on the hard stuff and not expecting them to "change their bodies".

This approach has worked well for the Seahawks, in some cases.
Only pick so far I'm not a fan of. Just too undersized for today's game. Too many teams now use bigger WRs in the slot.
I feel like he wants to do it

Yeah, no more Dee Winters and Drake Jacksons. This years guys are built NFL ready.

DJ Reed just signed a nice contract and he's the same size. You can't cover guys like Tutu and JSN with bigger DBs who can't keep up or make the tackle when they do get beat underneath. We also have Demo and Green to matchup with those bigger receivers.

Idk the guy plays with a lot of heart and grit, we will see but I like the passion he seems to play with.

thats what i noticed too in past few years we had a stacked roster so we took a risk on high ceiling guys that needed some development. This year we have very specific needs so we are going after NFL ready players

I like the player, but yeah, a little concerned by his size. But honestly, we're talking on the edge of the 4th round where lots of guys don't pan out, so I'm happy to wait and see.

Pretty stoked that he was one of the best DBs at the senior bowl. That is always a good sign when small school guys show up big. Also love to see how physical and strong he is against the run. I could see this guy blowing up screens which has been one of our defense's Achilles' heels. We absolutely needed to address getting abused by tiny quick slots, and seems like he may be an answer to that.

But questions about how he'll hold up with that small frame and physical nature, and also does the team just plan to bench him in games there's a big slot, which is a lot of teams.

I get why folks are disappointed because he wasn't in anyone's radar, but diving into the player, it's easy to understand why the team has him high on their draft board. As someone who knows nothing of college players until they join the NFL, I'm less inclined to s**t on the FO for missing so and so and reaching for some guy no one's heard of. Doesn't really seem like a reach to me, just a guy with a lot of potential to contribute, but a few legitimate questions, which is about what you expect in the middle rounds.
Senior bowl catapulted him. Might not have made it to our next pick.

I'm good with the value, he showed he can hang with the best.

Lol
49ers last seven third round picks: Puni (hit), Moody (miss), Latu (giant miss), Davis-Price (huge miss), Danny Gray (miss), Tre Sermon (miss) , Amber Thomas (miss).
Odds are not in our favor. 😂😂

That's the pick I'm not a big fan of. I think it was too early. Also he's undersized let's be honest. I was hoping they would draft another Renardo Green but I guess that in an average draft and at the end of the third round you take what you can. But who knows maybe he's gonna be the new Kwaun Williams.

I understand your point, but it's not really relevant. There's been enough hits in other rounds that prove our FO can identify talent. It's all a crapshoot at the end of the day.

Why not let the kid play on the field first before knocking him. I at least gave Trey Lance a look on the field before watching his downfall, and LMFAO!!!
