Who I expected and wanted given how the picks fell before them.
Love it. Saleh effect, coupled with being bookended with/tutored by Bosa; Koucerek... this is an awesome pick. o-line; wr; lb; secondary tomorrow in the order of whichever is BPA.

Overdrafted? We were trying to trade up for him according to reports lol
People also had the same concerns when we drafted Aldon. 99 wasn't even close to being a finished product coming out. I think Williams has a ton of untapped potential that could be unlocked with coach K and Saleh's guidance.

Fn love it! Love his size and speed /power. Love e fact that he's only 20. Gonna be a stud and great duo with bosa. Good in the run game too besides being a great pass rusher

* 2022 TFL - 6.5, 2023 TFL - 6.5, 2024 TFL - 8.5. = OK
* Size - 6'5" 260 lbs. 34 3/8" arms. 10 1/4 Hands. = VERY GOOD
* 40 time - 4.77 at his pro day. = UNDERWHELMING
* Program - Georgia = BLUE CHIP
He has the size. With length of arms and big hands. Great program to come from. But not that sudden or fast or twitchy of an athlete. I would expect a better athlete at #11 overall. Where is the PRODUCTION? Because he doesn't have any. Very underwhelming IMO.
I can't possibly believe this was the best player on the board at #11. Looks like a typical over drafted, reach on position of need. A Shany / Lynch special. I really wish we had Howie Roseman. He runs circles around the league. While we have a clown show.
Dumb take
No I think it's correct. He's a big, long guy from a good program. But not much production there. Very underwhelming on production. He's also not that great of an athlete. I would expect a much better athlete at #11 overall. Kind of an unimpressed. Lots of bust potential. If the most he could ever get is 5 sacks in College I don't expect him to get many in the NFL.
Nobody cares what you think.

I wouldn't say he was over drafted either - if it wasn't for the panthers over drafting a WR - he was expected to go there.
very rarely do you get a Myles garret or Nick Bosa prospect - most guys don't come into the NFL and are good at everything right away. This guy has a great foundation and potential to be an elite pass rusher. Idk why people are worried?
Hes everything you can ask for in a prospect outside of coming in as an elite pass rusher. He isn't a bad pass rusher at all, just raw. His edge setting game is insanely polished

Yeah.... I think he ends up in that 270-280 range as tweener end-tackle.
I know guys spend months on this stuff watching players, I spent a few hours on YouTube....but I see a smaller version of Bryant Young in how he moves.
The guy stays on his feet, and shields his body well, keeps his lane.
I don't know a ton about Georgia or how often they bring DEs inside...but if you have a blue chip passrusher...I don't suspect you bring him in side to fight double teams with guards and centers.
I think the dude is just a hybrid DT/DE...and Georgia appeared to play him at DT as much as they did at end. He is not your typical pass rushing end.
I don't like the pick at 11...but I do like the player. Either way...glad we got him.

If that's what he is you don't pick him at #11. A tweener guy who you don't know what position to put him at rarely works out. You must know your role and be good at it.

lol. This is exactly who I wanted unless Mason Graham fell. How are you overdrafting an edge player with huge pass rushing upside who has elite edge setting skills against the run.
This is a guy who only made it this late bc he played with a bad high ankle sprain last year. Dudes a monster and I'm thrilled with the pick. Now load up on DT.

You can see why they liked him from this video.
He should have had more sacks with how often he got quick pressure. Very good at getting off blocks. Should be very good against the run. Only 20 and has huge upside. I think he has has a high floor. I think if he can manage to add some bend to his edge rush, with what he already has skill wise, he will be an absolute beast.

Big boom or bust kind of pick. With that arm length, they're praying they got another Aldon Smith. But man, he really wasn't impressive in college. Jalon Walker flashed more. We'll see

This was the game where I thought to myself, "damn, this dude reminds me of Aldon." You can see the length and power on display in the first rep against a guard inside. He sets the guard up with jab steps and gets inside his chestplate with those 34"+ arms, gets full extension and put his ass on skates driving him all the way back into the QB. The rep against New Orleans' Saints first-round pick OT Kelvin Banks is truly flashes of Aldon Smith. He beats the hands with Aldon's signature move-- double swipe--and gets the strip sack. I really like that you see him marrying his hands and feet. This guy is on an ascending trajectory as a pass rusher. No offense, but if you're not excited about this kid, you're either a malcontent or simply clueless about what you're watching.
Some more Mykel Williams v Texas. Excellent tape against a top-10 tackle in Banks and evidence of his impact as an inside rusher. pic.twitter.com/Yag8hDw8nl

Aldon Smith - esque. Come on guys. LOL. Dude never had more than 5.0 sacks in 1 year on College. He's not going to approach close to 20 in the NFL. Aldon would have been Hall of Fame if he wasn't so heavily into drugs and alcohol. The talent level was unreal. Just a huge head case. I don't see nearly the talent here. Certainly not the production.
