I have been told by multiple sources that Brock is a product of his weapons. No way he could be that high missing, Kittle, BA, and Deebo.

That's essentially what this chart is telling you though, at least indirectly. And it's not just the players around him, but the system.

EPA/play, the vertical axis on the chart, is a team statistic. It is the expected points added per dropback for the offense as a whole. Brock is plotted at 3rd here, and Jones is 13th (ish).

The PFF grade, the horizontal axis on the chart, is an assessment of how the QB played individually. Brock is 21st here, and Mac is 26th.

The chart is saying in spite of bottom 3rd level individual performances (according to PFF) our passing offense was still top 15 in terms of efficiency (epa/p) under Mac, and top 3 under Brock.

Small sample of course.

Nice one but the timing for it is horribly wrong.

We have a starter who rarely plays every game we need a good backup

Mac got away with allot that game. Hopefully Brock comes back before the scales of luck tip the other way. He's not talented enough to keep trying to extend plays, he needs to learn to bail. This is the NFL not bama, no deck is stacked in his favor in this league especially with all the injuries piling up.

Purdy got away with his share too in the Seattle game. He had 2 INTs and nearly a 3rd one but Tongues saved him on that one. Montana got away with 3 INTs and one lost fumble in the 1981 title game and the Niners still won.

Oh for sure. Fortunate to be 2-0. Still Purdy forcing things and Mac forcing things look very different. Mac's risk in trying to extend plays is fumbling because he isnt athletic enough to do what his mind is asking him. Purdy's athletic enough to get away and then the risk is oh god he's gonna try and force it.
If I am Pittsburgh I would do that trade. Go from Rodgers to Jones. Jones would be a great fit there next year and if he is fixed like he looked yesterday he would be worth a second round pick

He wasn't trying to do anything athletic when he lost the fumble?

He simply held the ball too long and got hit while attempting a throw. Basically stood still on the play.

The majority of starting qbs rarely play every game
Mac 10 bringing his swag, maybe shanahan was right wanting him over underwhelming trey lance
I hope he gets a good week of work in. I love brock, and can't wait to see him out there, but I highly doubt his foot will be good enough.

I also think the team will take extra caution and make sure he's fully healed, since Mac has played well. gives them that breathing room to not stress too much over him missing a game.

My honest take, Brock's next game will be thursday night against the rams in week 5. I think Mac plays the cards and jags game. I think he will ball outta control against the Jags as an Eff you to them.

Wasnt talking about that play specifically. Just an observation that he is loose with the ball when he is trying to get away from tacklers which seemed like allot. It worked out this time but sooner or later that luck is gonna run out. He played good enough to win thats all that matters.

The article at the top of the page says Mac Jones has Proven to be the ideal backup. I don't think you can say he'as Proven anything based on one game against a bad team. He looked good for that one game. That's about all you can say. At least he has several NFL starts vs being a raw rookie.

He didn't want him or he would have picked him. He said multiple times he was in Cabo and looked at every snap by Lance High School thru college. He knew it then. Made a film package for Lynch and sent. Lynch stayed up thru the middle of night watching the film package sent by Kyle and that was it. Lance the guy.

These Kyle wanted Mac stories but outvoted hilarious..
