The first one would have been a difficult catch. Second one he probably should have had.

the media will likely run a hot take narrative but idk...he was solid but I wasnt super impressed. still the same ol' mac. not a lot of awareness in pocket, immobile, that turnover was on him.

overthrew pearsall by a lot on that deep try. one ball was thrown in quadruple coverage. one ball was way behind MVS that MVS managed to tip out of harms way.

great to have as a backup, for sure. starter material ? hell no, Brock is way better.

Well I'm not sure about your post but what I'm sure about at least Jones didn't have Brock Purdy's number of turnover worthy plays in this game. Especially impressive that Jones did not have Kittle at all or Jus most of the game. Normally we struggle to score when limited by injuries but Jones and Shanahan made it worth.

but if he wants that money he needs to grab both

Since the beginning, the motto has been if it hits your hands, you catch it. I bet Jennings feels the same way

He certainly surprised me with his performance today.
Solid game, but the Saints are bad. He needs to get rid of the ball quicker if he's going to stand around in the pocket. If Purdy had played I think this would have been a more comfortable win.

Idk about that...I just gave you two turnover worthy plays...mvs throw that was way behind and throw to another receiver in quadruple coverage wasnt good...there wasnt as many reckless turnover worthy plays as with Purdy, Ill give you that. But thats the thing about Brock. He createth on his own and also does too much sometimes.

I don't know if I buy that the Saints are as bad as people are saying. They're not good, but they've looked competitive.

Gotta give Mac credit he didn't have an easy setup and did some really nice things.

But the difference from Purdy in the pocket was night and day. The fumble from Mac was so bad…you can't have a rusher planted on his ass be able to get up and force a fumble. Get that ball out, step up in the pocket…feel the guy! Crazy bad play.

Not going to bag on him for his misses cuz Brock and every QB has those. Just need him to do better in the pocket. Any time there was any traffic around him I was waiting for something bad to happen.

But once again…kudos for getting it done.

It wasn't "safe" at all. He was pushing the ball down field all game. Can't see how this was your take away

Yup. Almost 300 yards and 3tds… made good decisions all day. Maybe held the ball too long 2-3 plays. Outstanding otherwise.

Agreed he played well minus the sac fumble where he held on too long
