On offer? Or an offer? How about I would like to see the 49ers gain a third round pick in the upcoming draft for the third rounder they dealt to Dallas? Is that doable?

If all we were offered is a 3rd, then I am sure it is on offer but hopefully we will decline.

Of that list, only Deebo was worth more than Mac Jones.
If Brock is out nursing turf toe is there anyone here who'd rather have Aaron Banks than Mac Jones?

That's why it makes no sense to trade Mac.

At some point Brock has to just not get injured - same goes for the rest of the team.

A second round pick could be Aaron Banks. Could also be a regular pro bowler, or could be used to move up in Rd1 to improve the DL or OL or flipped to trade for a proven player.

Can't keep the safety net forever, especially if it's at the expense of a guy who could be a difference maker on the field instead of a security blanket off it.

Sure it could be Aaron Banks but that's a 50% chance at best. So you'd be trading Mac for a 50-50 chance at a competent starter somewhere else.

Here's my thought. And it's just that: A THOUGHT. Nothing more. I'm not basing this on any report that I've seen or read. Because I haven't seen a whole lot about Mac this offseason.

If there is a deal for Mac, it's already consumated. Or very close to being done. It will happen during the draft. Not sure if it will take place during Round 1. My thought is it will come in the 2nd or 3rd rounds. The 49ers will trade Mac for at least one, but possibly two, draft picks. One will come in this year's draft. The additional pick, provided there is one, will come next year.

I do not see the wisdom in keeping Mac, even though he's very good. But Kyle has shown that he is very good at claiming castoffs from the league and turning them into legit starting QB's again. He's already done it once. That reclamation project won a SB. Kyle has done it again with Mac. There is value here. There are QB needy teams. There may be more than one if there's an injury in TC, or in preseason. My point is, if the 49ers don't trade him during this window of opportunity, they will get nothing for him. He will just walk and sign with some QB needy team. Mac will get rewarded. The 49ers will not.

Don't get greedy, Mac is a great safety net if we need a back up

QB1 chugging a beer.
only way we trade Mac is if we can get a day one productive starter edge rusher either by trade or draft pick.... trade for Miles (pipe dream) or be able to pick in top 10 for one of the top edges
I think by now the 49ers wanted a first for Mac Jones and that was never going to happen. I hold firm that I would have taken the Alex Smith deal for Mac Jones. a 2 this year and the next.

If any team had offered the "Alex Smith deal" type compensation for Mac Jones, he would be a former 49er already.

Yeah I think the 49ers would prefer to have Mac Jones this year, but if someone gave them a ransom, they would take it. Doubt that is going to happen, but i prefer Mac Jones to be here this year than have an extra 2nd round pick.

Similar to JJ, Mac is only valued here.

Do we pull the trigger if let's say Pittsburgh offers their 2027 1st.
