This gives Wright more time to develop under the watchful eye of guys who can guide him along the way.

This. Everything i am hearing about Wright sounds like he may be our future Ryans at DC.

Saleh can focus on his job, and Bradley can help with blitz packages and mentorship.

Every defensive player should be on edge

Tf are you talking about?

Yes. Even if K.J. follows the DeMeco path "to a T" that would still require three more years of development. This would cover us if Saleh gets hired before K.J. is ready.
Maybe he'll work with linebackers since that was his area before being a DC.

Remember when folks were convinced we would end up with Stanley and Sorenson?

Lol.

Kudos to Kyle.

why?

That would make sense since LB is right in the middle of everything and has to keep the world of chaos around them to a controllable level. LB has to know the role of everyone around them.
Is this a long term plan with Robert already telling 9ers if after next season, I will search for HC position if openings. They are priming GB for takeover?

Experienced coach who gives this staff an extra set of eyes and also gives us a potential option as a future DC here if Saleh gets poached.

KJ has one year as a QC under his belt. He is still likely a little ways away from being ready to be a coordinator. Bradley also gives KJ another mentor on staff/brain to pick.
"Let's not start sucking each other's d***s quite yet"

RS surpassed this dude by a mile, he owes him nothing, but perhaps Saleh throwing him a bone... here to polish Saleh's (both) heads

yeah he'll take over when Saleh leaves.

I hope not. Even vanilla thinks this guy is plain.

This. The game has passed him by. Same way it passed Lovie Smith, Ron Rivera, and many of the other top defensive minds of the early 2000s and 2010s. Bradley hasn't been anything special for almost a decade now. Turning us down in 2017 was a blessing in disguise.

He can help with the linebackers not named Fred Warner and hopefully Dre Greenlaw.
so this is a bad hire

Its not a bad hire. But if people are looking for him to be the DC when Saleh gets his next job- that would be bad. As I said, let him help with the linebackers.

Agreed

they didnt hire two DCs tho. they hired Saleh as DC. he then brought in his former boss as an assistant. i see it as returning the favor and doing Gus a solid for basically starting Saleh's coaching career.

there's no need to create dramatic narratives.

Gus Bradley = DC
Saleh = DC

Bradley + Saleh = 2 DC's, the math is pretty simple IMO.

Nah what's simple is there's only one DC and that's Saleh, when have you ever heard a team hire 2 DC's to the same position? Bradley probably does what Staley was doing. Don't know wtf you were being dramatic about

Not being dramatic lil mama, I didn't say we hired him to be our second DC just pointed out that we hired two DC's. 😂
