How would you fix the 49ers this Offseason?

This coming year could be a really big year for the 49ers since it has a high chance of us getting the 6th. Already hired a proven DC and ST coach, Super Bowl being in Santa Clara, easy schedule, we know what our problems are, most of the vets are coming back. I saw this guy post how he would do it on a tweet and just wanted to see how some of you guys would do it. I don't agree with all his actions, but his plan isn't too shabby. So how would you guys go on about it?

1. Investigate the performance enhancing drug use on the team. The players need to be educated on the injuries modern performance enhancing drugs cause, and given suggestions for using alternatives.

2. Pay Brock Purdy whatever it takes, but make sure it allows for an out in a reasonable number of seasons should he not return to 2023 form.

3. Draft should be focused on defense.

4. Cut Screenbo, since he is so bad he actually holds the offense back.

5. Extend Kittle for a reasonable number. Don't overpay him. If he wants outrageous money, trade him.

6. Trade for any of Eddy Pineiro, Chris Boswell, or Daniel Carlson. I'd give up a 1st or 2nd round pick should they demand that.

It's the 2nd most important position in football after the QB. Sorry you don't understand football.

I'm sure you think all the games the team has lost because of the kicker don't matter, but those of us who aren't like, "lulz, special teams are nerdz" understand that kickers lead the team in points.

Thats an offseason I would be very excited about.
Half the users on this site: "Just trade Brock Purdy and our next three 1sts for Burrow! It's so easy! But of course LOSERS Kyle and Lynch won't do it because they're so happy with LOSING!"

As you should. The guy is just a troll
1-Pay Purdy less than 50M per year.
2-Fix the run defense with 2 DT's. Signing DJ Jones is step 1.
3-Extend Kittle.
4-Get rid of Deebo.
5-One-year deal for Greenlaw.
6-Sign DJ Reed or Carlton Davis.
7-Draft BPA at #11.
8-Draft Kenneth Grant in the 2nd round (I want Graham in the 1st but he wont be available).
9-Look for a G in round 3.
10-Get a K after the draft.

With our soft schedule, Saleh having full control of the defense and Shanahan focusing 100% on the offense for the first time since 2022 we can win 13 or 14 games next season

Can't argue with anything he proposed.

My only beef would be Grey Zabel in round 2 but that's because I really want Donovan Jackson from OSU.

Other than that, the free agents, the resignings, the draft, Exceptional.

Jevon Holland, DJ Jones, Paulson Adeebo, Drew Dalman and Azeez Ojulari would be amazing.

I've pretty much mocked either:
-Walter Nolen or Shemar Stewart at 11
-Donovan Jackson round 2,
-Mason Taylor round 3
-David Walker, Savion Jones, Olu Oladejo or Josiah Stewart round 3
-Luke Kandra/Joshua Gray round 4
-Smael Mondon/Jay Higgins and Devin Neal round 4

Id be thrilled.

yea the more and more I look at it, it would be a pretty great off season if it played out like that.

We definitely can win 13 or so games if everything works out for us.
I really don't want to get into the restructures and all that.

I do agree with a lot of what that original post says though I'm bringing back Mason, Curtis Robinson and Graham...maybe even Chris Conley. I don't think any of those contracts would be big $ so more depth for camp is fine, especially with a guy like Mason. Tho I'll be curious what we tag him at, if another team wants to sign him and give us a pick it may be worth it. Pretty good RB class even though I'd rather we use our resources on other picks.

From the key free agents we have I just want Greenlaw back. The other RFA/ERFAs who had solid contributions last year will be brought back.

From the lesser UFAs we have - Jaylon Moore and Ben Bartch are the two I want back. I don't want to see them start long term but I think they give us good depth and if the money is right it makes sense to bring them back.

I think that post is pretty far out there with all the big name FA signings and while I would love those I just don't see that happening.

I do think a vet C is priority #1 in free agency. Everyone loves Dalman due to the family connection but I would prefer Ryan Kelly. He's older but also a lot more experienced. I think that could be a better route to go as we develop our long term replacement.

Holland would be my other big FA move if we can swing it.

Draft should be big on the trenches on both sides. I like the one he had. Getting Nolen and Zabel would be a coup(it may require a small trade down from 11, and move up from 43 to accomplish tho)
