It was either get surgery in the offseason and miss the season or rest it and hope it heals to play this season.

Several writers have observed that Deebo looks very fit and appears to have regained that half step he had lost before he left.

If he replicates the season he had in Washington it will have been a good signing.

Would most likely not missed the entire season if he had it in the offseason. Probably should have had it done early last season. Basically, misses two years by doing nothing. Also Did he not have any problems during the off season or did he not work it enough to know?

Dude is going to go into season 4 with 3 career TDs.

He's been hurt. He's been reasonably productive when he's been healthy. He was off to a hot start last year before the PCL injury. He's unlucky, I feel bad for him.

2025 - missed 8 games.
2026 - will miss 17 games.

Regular season numbers. Not including the playoffs or possible games in this. 31 games missed out of 51 possible games in 3 seasons.

That's missing 61% of the games.

1st round pick.

they better not give this dude a 5th year option unless he's willing to continue on a rookie deal. I don't think Ricky will ever pan out to deserve the 1st round pick the 49ers used on him.

hes a bust...the most important ability is AVAILABILITY esp down the stretch of the season and into the playoffs. No matter how many excuses people make for him, his body simply cannot stand the rigors of the NFL. Ppl on here bragging how good he looked first 3 games of the season LMFAO. How did he look at the end of season? how does he look this season? INJURED

The chances he actually recovers perfectly from this PCL surgery (still no actual surgery announced & not a surgery with good outcomes) THEN has a full injure free FULL TC next year (which he will need to establish rapport with Purdy, get adequate prep for the season) and THEN actually plays at least 75-80% of the next season are 0%.

Just release him whenever we don't have to pay him anymore and admit he was a bad pick. Trying to rely on him to be healthy next year and actually contribute as a WR2 or better (which is what expectations were when we used a 1st round pick) are NIL and actually prevents this team from investing appropriately next year and going forward.

Shanalynch need to learn from their mistakes. Stop drafting WRs in the first three rounds (way too many busts in this regime). Just sign FAs for the position group in the future. I'd love his team to take a proven big time WR in his prime using 1st round picks/2nd round picks + big contract (don't care if we overpay some). Take a couple flyers in the late rounds (5th-7th) for depth at WRs.
