Some players just have bad luck. They get hurt early in camp and start off behind everyone else then they struggle to make up for lost time and keep reinjuring themselves. Maybe he'll be like Jimmie Ward who struggled to stay healthy his first 5 seasons but eventually got through it and became a good player. It seems like the 49ers have a recent history of WRs that can't stay healthy. Jennings has had his issues and even Deebo would miss a game here and there because he was banged up. Same with Kittle.

No...
He's a 2nd year player who's shown promise when on the field. As a 1st round pick he's going to at the min get through his rookie deal with this team. Just gotta figure out how to stay healthy

Tired of all these excuses. Some nfl guys are just injury prone/soft/ whatever and he happens to be one of them. It's unfortunate given his draft position.

My guess is that he ends up playing on MNF and is used more as a decoy. Let's see.

For sure. I would go back and watch it but I can't. It's too much to watch some. I remember thinking that hit came in late when he stood up and no forward progress like you mentioned. f**k the Chiefs. Out of the playoffs and they can stay out for a while

so far is looking like Dante Pettis 2.0. all potential no production due to always being hurt.
should be confirmed or not within about 1 more year.

Probably not, Rams mentality.

I'm wondering about Javon Baker who we picked up recently and how close he is to contributing since Pearsall is likely out.

Pettis never showed the same determination, ability or potential that Pearsall has.
What a terrible comparison.

You got that right. I remember a time when Shanahan confined Brandon Aiyuk to the bench because he simply was not putting forth the kind of effort that Kyle thought he should. BA took a long time to emerge as a very good receiver, but once he put in the time, he was pretty good. Unfortunately, he turned out to be a major league head case.

Maybe he's having a few Injury issues but it's clear he's not a bust. Im confident he turns into a quality NFL receiver.
