I'll be concerned when he misses games due to injury. I'll give Pearsall a pass for getting shot in the chest. Pearsall going on the PUP in late July is more annoying than concerning because we all want this guy to get reps and be ready to contribute out the gate.

Does nobody read the thread before they post? Literally 2 posts ago NY said that this is a standard procedure for every player who was injured away from the team before camp. They put them on PUP so they can be at the facility without the team taking legal responsibility for their injury status. He was, and as far as I can tell still is, expected to be ready for the start of camp. They actually said if there was a game instead of mini-camp he would have played. That means he basically had a cramp and they decided to be cautious.

Well we are soon going to find out in a few days whether or not he is kept on PUP

Trust but verify. Sometimes they lie, sometimes they are mistaken, sometimes stuff happens :)

he can be taken off the list at any point as of Wednesday, much like some of the other players currently on the list…but of course fans are gonna get over dramatic about it
I would just ask why he still has to rehab an injury they said was minor and should see him back for camp no problem.
However we all know 49ers are terrible with injuries and reporting of them.
Just gonna hope for promising updates on all of these injuries and praying/hoping we have a season where we avoid critical and long term injuries.

Has there ever been a season where no critical or long term injuries happened?

We were very close in 2023…unfortunately couldn't just get out of that SB without injuries to Dre and Feliciano. Either one stays healthy and we win the SB imo.
2012 we were incredibly healthy as well though some key injuries led to Smith bros not playing up to their levels.

And if the Warriors didn't have playoff injuries they'd have 9 rings :)

"If he is on PUP it means he is healthy"

So I guess that Aiyuk, Bartch, Mustapha and YGM are healthy and they'll practice this wednesday and they're on PUP just to be elevated the 1st day of TC.
The coping mechanism of 90% of this fanbase is something else

Just because players who are injured outside of NFL activity have to be on PUP, even healthy, to be at camp early does not mean ALL people on PUP are there for that reason.
That's just bad logic.

He could have been rehabbing it weeks ago BUT still has to be on the PUP if he came in.
yes SF has burned fans with injury reports in the past, so has every team. Injuries aren't always a cut and dry thing either, especially soft tissue stuff.

Huh? wtf are you even talking about? It means some of those players will be coming off that list come Wednesday. That was also reported. Possibly Ricky but no one knows either way until then.
No coping here. Just telling you the protocol of off season PUP. I think some fans need to step back from the edge.
