Yep. It's really hard to get a single body up super close to 100% optimized, and once there it's even harder to keep it there. Then add that players and agents are fully aware that they are paid 100% of their money when they are injured, and rushing back can cause an injury to become chronic or to shorten their careers. Why EVER play or practice when you feel anything at all if it can take a future contract away?
So, we have a smaller margin of health, and less motivation to "push through" sprains, strains, and aches and pains.
