Maybe but most of these guys train year around. How do you avoid muscle tears, mild sprains, bone bruises and of course the more serious knee injuries. You can tgraon too much as we saw last yearwith CMC. Every player's body is differfent so it's not like there's a tried and true formula for preventing this stuff.

Training and proper recovery. Look at Derrick Henry. Dude spending like $150k a yr on his recovery.

also it's football and guys just get hurt.

Yep. It's really hard to get a single body up super close to 100% optimized, and once there it's even harder to keep it there. Then add that players and agents are fully aware that they are paid 100% of their money when they are injured, and rushing back can cause an injury to become chronic or to shorten their careers. Why EVER play or practice when you feel anything at all if it can take a future contract away?

So, we have a smaller margin of health, and less motivation to "push through" sprains, strains, and aches and pains.

As much as we fans hate to see these injuries imagine how a player feels that's worked hard all off season hoping to get a roster spot only to have one setback after another. To us it's a disappointment but for them it could be a career. Some of these marginal guys only get one or two chances.

Idk why it seems like if a guy has a hang nail or paper cut, staff will make it sound worse (calf sprain, groin, ankle, blah blah blah)

They check this forum and enjoy the preseason tear fests for sh*ts and giggles.

if cooper and davis were to lower their price i'm sure the niners would sign them

It's entirely possible they have agreements with teams in hand already, they just don't want to come in for camp. Plus they may be looking for a season of starting at WR and the 49ers are not likely to offer that.

ya there could be many reasons, it does seem like gabe davis really wants to be here though
Can we just say the Robert Beal IR experiment is finally over?

Maybe, just maybe, reconsider hiring a new leader of health and conditioning. Instead of this "do you even lift bro" bro who was recently promoted, after heading up the department since 2019.

Any leaders you know of in the NFL that have a proven track record of lowering the number of injuries?
I guess embarrassing question but is that Perry in all black. I see him all the time on side-lines but wasn't quite sure his role. He seems to be a massive cheerleader when I see him on side-lines. Is that part of strength and conditioning?
The 49ers do what they do every offseason. Contract disputes,a plethora of injuries and go into a season with holes they never fill. Rinse and repeat.

Brad Anae, what the hell. That guy's been on the team for like 2 seconds.

I agree there is something going on either with the training part or something else. I am sure they have made changes to the way they do things and if not I would hope they would be smart enough to do so. Jed should be pissed he puts out all this money and these dam injuries keep happening every year. It's like we look forward to another NFL season to watch the 49ers and then boom our xcitement is dowsed with injuries on top of injuries.

They're not doing dynamic stretching. They need to or these injuries will continue.
