sometimes when guys feel like they have to do more to cover for others or the loss of others, they end up doing way less - they are mind frozen and late to everything. With Warner and Bosa our, Saleh has to be Bill Belichick and preach - "just do your job"

Another young 49ers defender who's being targeted a lot is Dee Winters, who opened very hot in coverage in first 3 games — 48 yards allowed.

First 3: 16 YPG allowed
Last 3: 50.3 YPG allowed

Weird. It's almost like playing beside Warner he was playing at a Pro Bowl level. Take away Warner and he isn't half as good.

After the first 3 games the film is out on him. Therefore, if he comes back expect him to keep getting targeted.

Think he might just be a backup at this point, no one outside of 9moon expects him to fill Warners shoes but he looks completely lost without him by his side. There's nothing he's shown lately going into his 3rd that shows much promise

But yet Nick Martin (a 3rd round pick? ) can't even get a defensive rep? Saleh loves Winters like Forester loves Brendel, these guys don't budge with their loyalty to mediocre players

I think they want experience out there, Martin is just to green right now. He has incredible athleticism but might lack play recognition and overall awareness right now.
