Sucked how it ended this year, but looking foward to '23.

Purdy is the best 49ers QB since Steve Young

Let's hope so. Not putting his level of play ahead of Garcia or Kap just yet. Need to see more.

Is this for real?

Was there an announcement?
he should be the starter, lance has no pocket awareness at all like purdy does, purdy has that it factor that lance does not, not all about physical abilities , this is a prime example right there, purdy > lance

I agree and i think its obvious purdy is better equipped to lead the team right now.

But theres a poster that needs to see more proof that Purdy is better than KAP. lol.

Nothing yet, probably this week.

That's because Brock had only started one year so he has been better his first year than Kap but there's still the matter of going 4-2 playoffs 3-1 road two NFCCG and a Super Bowl chip within grasp if but only for 5 yards.

Until he surpasses that dude has a point but Brock has however as a rookie gotten off to a better start than Kap and he's actually been historic thus far so give it time and then some debates can be put to rest

He had an argument and I already said that if we lost to Hurts Lance and Purdy would have to battle it out for QB1 this offseason because we're not about NFCCG and Super Bowl appearances. We're about rings and Lombardi trophies and QB1 is now gonna have to be earned this offseason because last season the goal wasn't accomplished and to add we are watching a guy in the mold of Lance beat us and is playing next weekend

I believe we could have won if not for Purdy's injury but we didn't so back to the drawing board

I agree 100% with this. I loved what I saw from Purdy this year, but this is about winning and playing the best player. If that's Purdy then let him prove it. If it's Lance, then again let him beat out Purdy to prove it.
IMO, it just seems possible that the first information that goes out from the FO regarding Brock's injury status could be a announcement on how the surgery procedure went after it's already been performed….and then release more details on what specific kind of surgical repair was attempted, along with his projected recovery time frame. I don't think it would be like a HIPAA type thing, but, Like I said, just a possibility

Hmmmm. I wonder....are we watching the same 49ers this last season? Are we talking about the same brock purdy? The only kid that ddrawn up buckets of touchdowns from shannys field goal well?

Is this bizarro webzone?

I think you always keep an open mind. Is that what you're saying? If trey processes lights out next camp, cuts his wind up time in half learns how to slide and improves his over-the-middle accuracy by 35%, then yah hes a contender for qb1. Maybe even is qb1.

Is anyone expecting that?

I think given normal development patterns brock gives us the best chance getting number 6. Do we need to see anymore to make that claim? No. We dont.

He's better than Trey and that's all you need to know.

He is right now but maybe not in the long run.

Brock has the experience and field awareness and Trey has the athleticism. It's a shame we can't combine the 2 because then we would really have a franchise QB. I liked what I saw from Brock but I wonder if that level of play is sustainable with his athletic limitations. His arm strength leave something to be desired. He looked far more comfortable on plays in the middle of the field. His passes tend to drift when he throws deeper. I know that deep passes aren't a huge part of Kyle's offense but sooner of later every QB is going to need to be able to make those throws. Especially late in games if you're trailing.

Trey has a lot to learn. He didn't look near as composed as Brock did but that doesn't mean he can't get better. If he had 4 years as a starter in college I imagine he would look much better. The problem is he is now the guy behind Purdy. How much actual game experience is he going to get unless Brock misses the entire season.
