Tommy John is worse than what he's reportedly gonna have. It's not a full blown reconstruction

I remember Drew Brees also had a throwing arm injury, that's why the Chargers didn't resign him. Big mistake.

It was his right shoulder I think?
But the Chargers were going with Rivers anyway. It´s Miami that decided to pass on Brees.

Which is how Nick Saban ended up at Alabama.

Exactly my thinking. And tbh I think Purdy's success will motivate Trey.

Oh it´s now or never for Trey let´s be honest.
We´ll see what his mental truely is.
If I was him I would work like a madman because let´s face it Purdy was the best PO QB for the Niners since Steve Young if you accept the fact that Kap was more of a gimmick QB. The gap is huge already in Kyle´s mind I think.
I think Trey is a great kid, smart, hard worker, great family around him. But he has to work a lot and hopefully Kyle will stop using him like a battering ham.
But he´s still in a walking boot at the moment.
And there´s Brady.

I don't think Tommy John is off the table yet. Depends on the extent of the damage and where the tear is. Not sure if they even decide before they go in, or while they're in there. Where's that surgeon from yesterday? Dude called it smh...

Yah they gotta get in there. Hoping for the best!
This f**king sucks. This team is so God damn cursed
Tommy John is a graft surgery, a repair would be to reattach the ligament to the bone.

Well, time to give the 🐐 a phone call. Or Aaron Rodgers a phone call. Otherwise, we're screwed

No! Either one would demand 20-30+ Mil. We need $$ to sign Aiyuk, Bosa and CMC. Having 2 capable QB's on rookie salaries is what is going to keep our Super Bowl window open for a while. We just need a backup for Trey while Purdy recovers and hopefully it's a 100% recovery, which I fully expect. Most baseball pitchers come back from this I don't see any reason for Brock to be any different.

Agreed. f**k those old dinosaurs. Just roll with Trey if Purdy's not ready week 1. Draft another QB with an elite 10 yard split and fast processing/decision making lol.
Where are the idiots from the game day thread that were saying Brock didn't have any fight or didn't have enough heart. Or the injury didn't look bad and he was just soft. Feel free to insert your foot in your mouth or better yet insert it up your A$$.

Do we know this as fact yet? I thought he needed more opinions to tell whether he needed TJ surgery. If we don't know yet, I'd there a timeline?
The San Francisco 49ers...where QB's go to be on I.R.

No. roll with jimmy for 1.5 years until brock comes back. We will be in playoffs both years. if we sign a RIGHT TACKLE.

It's usually randos on the game day thread that spew that kind of trash. I'm thrilled they aren't here on a daily basis.
