QB Brock Purdy Thread

I sure hope this kid is able to keep playing some mean football. He reminded of Montana..can't get higher praise than that. Wishing the very best.

I should stop moping already, shouldn't I? This is a tough one lol

Honestly I think this game was over 5 minutes in once he got hurt. We shouldn't be too upset because it's not like we got beat...it was just random unfair circumstances.

I believe it will be not as bad as most here.

The way they moved the ice and heat around on his arm makes me think it's a less serious injury. I would think if it was one serious problem they would just hold the ice and heat there and not move it around so much.

I also think they would have sent him to the locker room straight away and been working on him all game.

I think 3 weeks of rest and I bet he is fine.

If it was bad they would not have had him even try if it was a permanent problem to preserve the future.

Thank you doctor…

Yes it would. No qb experiments to start the season please. If Brock has a longterm injury, bring in the old man.

That ain't happening. I know some of you wish it weren't so but it's gonna be Trey and Brock and especially since we got beat by Jalen Hurts who happens to be leas talented than Trey but was allowed to develop over three seasons

it was a good post from BRG

he had his helmet on a lot of the time then reentered the game, hard to think that happens if it's majorly effed. Bradshaw knows a thing or two he said it's a stinger he can't feel the arm / fingers, and he'll get it back soon just not today, that's his guess of course but way more educated than ours he played NFL

I'm fine rolling with Brock and Trey, if Brock is healthy. In that case, if Trey's the starter he will have earned it and will have beaten out a promising QB.

Absolutely no way they can just go into the season rolling out the Trey experiment with no competition (If Brock was unable to compete).

Not maximizing this team's chances of winning immediately is unacceptable.

There were times when they were only icing his elbow and other times they were only icing his forearm.

I would assume if you knew the injury was bad you would never move the ice/heat from the injury.

So if they knew it was inner elbow they would have 100% of the time heat or ice on it. Even if they moved around the ice on his forearm and outter elbow.

It doesn't make sense to only do one part then move it around and let him hang out on the sideline if it was going to be a bad injury.

It's either not that bad or he got bad medical treatment which means it's probably the former.

Having had some time to digest this. It makes you truly appreciate what Brock brought to the team. Johnson looked absolutely terrible out there.

I hope he recovers well and then off-season looks pretty good at QB. If Brock rehabs and gets even stronger. We will be in the driver's seat next year. Be nice to get that first round bye and home field thoughout next year though.

What sucks is that even if we get a first round bye, we dont know who will stay healthy and who might be out with season ending injuries. I know its a Physical game and its a part of the sport, but goddammit how unlucky do u have to be to have your 1st, 2nd and 3rd string QB all get injured in the same year.
Dude might need Tommy John surgery. Wtf
With this much shade on him and the likelyhood Lance is still not ready, a vet and Lance looks like the way I see it going next season.

Thanks for the ride Brock. You were awesome.
I fully believe in Brock Purdy, but after seeing what a true backup plays like… we know it wasn't a fluke what he did this season. Once Purdy went down I knew it was over. Also… this doesn't count as an L for him right? He still undefeated I think. Pray that he doesn't need surgery.

It sounds like a sprained or torn UCL - That will give you pain in both the elbow as well as in the forearm so that's why icing both

Hopefully it's a sprain that heals with rest. But with the sudden pop I fear that it's a tear and he may need Tommy John surgery be and out for the entire 2023 season. They will do an MRI and know soon.
Super great idea to have your backup TE blocking their best pass rusher. To get your QB killed. Thanks Kyle.

Brock had plenty of time to get rid of the ball.
