I hope he recovers well and then off-season looks pretty good at QB. If Brock rehabs and gets even stronger. We will be in the driver's seat next year. Be nice to get that first round bye and home field thoughout next year though.

Yes it would. No qb experiments to start the season please. If Brock has a longterm injury, bring in the old man.

what game was he watching?
The one where the 49ers committed 11 penalties.
You can't win that way even if your QB is 2014 vintage Tom Brady.
you can very easily win that way.
Give yourself no chance to win with that bs.
I think their DL was too much for us today, and of course, the penalties didn't exactly do us any favours

Tommy John doesn't impact QBs like it does pitchers due to the difference in their throwing motions.
Unlike pitchers, most NFL QB's who suffer UCL injuries don't require reconstructive surgery due to differences in throwing mechanics/stress across the elbow. That being said, there are specific cases (complete rupture with significant elbow instability) were it may be indicated. https://t.co/M5nqDTBZfp

It hurts pitchers more because they put more torque on their elbow when throwing, which is different then how a QB throws the ball.
We won't know anything however until his MRI tomorrow.

Only QB I could find coming back from the surgery was J.Delholmme and his career was never the same.
Just saw that Rob Johnson had the surgery and had to retire.

"Unlike pitchers, most NFL QB's who suffer UCL injuries don't require reconstructive surgery due to differences in throwing mechanics/stress across the elbow," wrote Dr. Nirav Pandya, who often offers injury analysis to 95.7 The Game. He added that the injury is rare with quarterbacks. However, in a study looking at 10 NFL quarterbacks who dealt with the injury, only one required surgery......i wonder who were the 10 QBs and how they played after the injury, if any long term affects from it......

I know Jake Delhome and Nick Mullens had it.

Hell no I dont believe that at all. The statue thing was an inside job by an eagles fan.
I think the 49ers in general have an injury curse at EVERY position, every year. Even our QB4 Josh Johnson left with a concussion. Explain that!

Can't go with 4 and 5 WRs all the time. Need to add that extra blocker to stop players like Reddick.

The way they moved the ice and heat around on his arm makes me think it's a less serious injury. I would think if it was one serious problem they would just hold the ice and heat there and not move it around so much.
I also think they would have sent him to the locker room straight away and been working on him all game.
I think 3 weeks of rest and I bet he is fine.
If it was bad they would not have had him even try if it was a permanent problem to preserve the future.
