I don't know why people get so defensive when anyone points out a flaw in Purdy's game or says he didn't have a great game. We used to criticize Montana and Young when they didn't have a good game and threw a couple INTs. Nobody lost their s**t over it when we did. When Brock plays great and has a good game I acknowledge it. I only pointed out that he didn't have a good game yesterday to emphasize it was other things that won that game. Receivers like Robinson stepping up in a big game when he was mostly a nonfactor all year. The defense playing tighter coverage instead of allowing receivers to get wide open all day. Kyler designing a good game plan to exploit the holes in Philly's D. It wasn't an amazing performance by the QB that won that game.

He sure outplayed Hurts.

Yes...he outplayed Hurts.

It would be nice if he learned to do that and have better discernment about when to take a chance and when to just eat it and take a sack or throw it away. I just think it might be his style/mindset that we're going to have to live and die with.

Pretty much

I've said it before but the reason purdy throws ints is similar to why he makes explosive plays: he's willing to make dangerous throws. You can't just say "stop throw the ints but still make those big plays". Just doesn't work that way in the long term but we've seen in the vacuum of a single game big plays + no turnovers. Hopefully we get that but you have to live with a gun slinger
This all day and twice on Sunday...

....but hopefully no picks this Saturday. They will have to play nearly perfectly to beat Seattle, especially without George.
This is hard to believe, but its true.

Brock Purdy now has 4 career playoff game winning drives. Joe Montana had 3 as a Niner.

It's why he got paid. To take lemons and make lemonade

Brocks two INT were frustrating. The first INT should've never been thrown. The second INT was in part due to Mitchell's tug that let him under cut the pass. Remember the INT stout had against the Jags, in which he also undercut the pass, that was negated by PI. Mitchell's was probably more egregious.
either way, Brock needs to eat some of these plays and live to fight another down. Especially, on early downs.

personally, I think both those patterns should be stricken from the play book... it's a pretty looking play but it's a harsh pattern to throw especially if you have ZERO touch... B-Rock Steady Purdy has the touch but the pass has to really be perfect...

Tho I remember him throwing a perfect pass against Dallas (maybe 2 years ago) on the same pattern, I just think it should not be tried under bad weather condition.

Brock played great BUT

lol

Basically Chris Simms in a nutshell.

It's like early Tom Brady and Joe Montana critics. Purdy would have to win a SB to shake those guys.

NOT to worry, he winning it this year!!

GO NINERSSS !!!

SOMETIMES, it helps to not have weapons like Skittles... It takes away certain focus from the opposing team that the back up can end up having a great game..
With 4, Purdy is now tied at 6th all time for most game winning drives in the playoffs.

Tied with the likes of Dan Marino, Big Ben, Stafford, Russell Wilson, and Terry Bradshaw. One behind Montana.

Maye threw a pick, Stroud threw a pick, Stafford threw a pick, Caleb Williams threw 2 picks (won), Lawrence threw 2 picks (lost)....I'm not trying to defend throwing 2 picks. I prefer NONE, however those are some big names that at least threw one pick. I know Stafford should have had at least one more that was dropped. If we drag Purdy for 2 picks, we need to be consistent and drag everyone. I guarantee Stroud would have thrown another pick had the game been closer and he had to press. I remember Stafford throwing 2 pick 6's to Carolina during their first matchup. I'm glad Purdy is a gunslinger and i'm willing to live with the risks because I know he will get them back. He's gained my trust.

He " STEADY PURDY " !!!

I think Purdy is the only QB left that wasn't a 1st round pick, if I'm not mistaken every other qb left was a 1st round pick??

Wilson was a 3rd rounder.

I think he's talking about in the playoffs.

I'm realizing Russell Wilson may be my least favorite person in the NFL. Not only did he torment us for years with his stupid running around like a greased chicken then making backbreaking plays against our great defenses but also that he conned the Broncos into that trade which gave Seattle the ammo to build this squad they have now.

Oh and he's married to Ciara...

In the second INT, Brock forgot his TE wasn't Kittle.
