QB Brock Purdy Thread

I agree. I think it set up the second half where we played very good complimentary football.
The numbers weren't great but they didn't need to be woth the way the Browns special teams werew setting the 49ers up in good field position. Kyle called the right type of plays for Brock in these kind of weather conditions. Kept most of the throws under 20 yards. That's where most QBs succeed in Kyles offense. The best thing Brock did today was not make any mistakes when he was pressured. The O line has to get some credit too for not allowing the Browns to bury Purdy.
He played ok. Good enough. In the wind and cold is not his best game. Surprisingly because he played at Iowa State. You would think he has enough practice, training and games in that weather to do well in it. A win is a win. I will take it.
This was a A grade performance, taking everything into consideration. Anyone not giving him his props is hating just to hate.
That was the opposite of a typical Brock Purdy game. Bad box score, good performance lol
The drive to re-take the lead at the end the first half, with 39 seconds on the clock, was clutch AF. Against one of the toughest defenses in the league, in a tough environment, and harsh weather….man. The Purdy of today is definitely deserving of that contract.
Did enough to win and protected the ball. Actually had a couple of very nice passes. All in all a good day for PURDY.
There was some tweet Ive seen from PFF that said he had more throwaways this game than all the other games he's played in this year, combined.

Definitely a conscious effort to not force stuff, and he needs to do it more often. This game gave me the 2022 cowboys playoff game vibe in terms of how he operated. Smart, aware of pass rush, and manage the game well.

I think that's actually good. I would like to see more throw aways from Brock. He can be so wild sometimes. Trying to play like a gunslinger without the rocket arm. That gets him in trouble. Less of that is great. Managing the game is important. Especially against a good defense, great pass rush and cold less than ideal weather. He needs to play smarter. If so that will really help him. With timing and anticipation he can be accurate. So by playing smarter with it he will clean up a lot. Pick your spots. It's not Favre or Josh Allen on every play without the arm strength. That will get you in trouble.

With the weather conditions being what they were and the quality of the Browns defense vs. the quality of the Browns offense, I'm guessing it was drilled into the team's head this whole week that ball security was the #1 priority on offense.
