QB Brock Purdy Thread

This is the perfect game to bring Brock back if he really feels he's ready. Playing in his home state. Pearsall possibly back. Cardinals with a poor pass rush. Ranked 28th in sacks and 21st in pressures. Weather won't be an issue. Cardinals missing their starting QB that gives the Noners fits when he scrambles. Missing their top receiver.

Put it all together and it's the best case scenario for a return. Now we just need to keep our fingers croseed that he doesn't stub that toe.

His right foot has its own life it seems

I have not seen the practice yet, that is the foot that is injured maybe he is still using the plate?

No he's not there's nothing in his shoe. I don't know what the hell people expect you think they're really gonna bench a guy for someone who's making about 49 million less a year than he is once he's perfectly ready to come back and play.

I watched the practice clip, him and Mac look exactly the same with their feet lol.. So yeah I don't see anything concerning at all. People just seeing what they want to see TBH.

I believe Brock said he's pain free so if that's the case, he should be healed by now.

FO said it might not heal this season, so not healed. I guess we will see how it turns out. I am happy to see some damn Purdy highlights through, finally. Mac is great but..I need some Dirty Purdy already
Yeah, watching Brock's interview, not fully healed. He was asked about the risk of coming back because of that..said, .."guys are a banged up at times, dealing with things, nature of the sport.." Just *really hope* this doesn't backfire, especially, knowing we could roll with Mac as long as needed.

I don't think that necessarily means he still feels banged up. He said he feels fully healthy. 🤷‍♂

I don't think he said he feels fully healthy but we will see how it goes. Being from AZ, this is a game he probably wouldn't want to miss, good game for coming back..just hope all will be good.
Hope this doesn't turn into a jaguars game…
I'd like to be optimistic, but I am fully expecting Brock to routinely sail passes over the middle today. I'm also expecting the usual dose of unnecessary hero ball and at least one "WTF" INT where Brock completely fails to see a linebacker lurking in the middle of the field. Essentially, I'm expecting to see what Brock has been putting on tape since last season. Hope I'm wrong.

I hope you're wrong too, but it is important to see what he can do, given we've seen Mac routinely battle, depite getting all world ass kickings in every game. Really don't think it would be wise to let Mac go until or unless Purdy returns to form.

I would be shocked if the 49ers don't try and keep him through next season given Brock's injury history. He needs to show he can stay healthy through next year Until then it's nice to have a capable backup.

Like I've said so many times I wish the NFL would change the cap rules so QB sdalaries don't count. That would enable teams to sign and possible keep a good solid backup instead of bringing in someone new every year. It's not good for the league when a starter goes down and the team's entire sesason goes with it.

I don't think so. Somebody actually landed right on his damn toe in that game so unless that happens again, probably not he actually re-injured the toe even worse that time than the original injury. Which is why it took him long AF for him to get back.

That TD pass to Kittle was a clone of that practice highlight video they released this week, lol.
Stance and footing look better. The throws are more accurate. Mechanics are improved.
