Total rubbish, they're not gonna rush him back from this kind of injury. Shanahan trying to avoid a QB controversy, he couldn't give two f**ks about that. If he's cleared by the medical and training personnel there shouldn't be a problem letting him play. Also, he still may not start anyways but he might play in the game.

That shouldn't suprise anyone. Half the comments on this forum are knee jerk reactions. The game starts out bad and it's the team sucks. The coach sucks. Whatever. Then they win and it's a different knee jerk reaction. They're going to the SB. For some reason fans can never look beyond the last gamen or even the last play. Every draft pick has to be an instant success or he's bust. Any play that doesn't work was a stupid call by the coach.

Fans are fans. They love their team but they love to find fault with it just as much. Many fans seem to think they know more about football and the players than the coaches do. They don't. They think they know what the front office is doing or what they should be doing. They don't. These ar epeople that live and die with football. Theyre with these players constantly for 6 months. They see all the practices and all the game film They know more than we do. That doesn't mean every draf pick and every decision during the game is going to be the right one. The don't have the wisdom of hindsight like fans do.

If he's not close to 100 percent just sit him or #2 QB. Other than that I don't want him to start.

For me it comes down to what is the risk? The fact that he is already practicing makes me think the risk of his toe becoming even worse is very low. If it is just Brock playing on a toe that hurts, then I think you play him. This is a division game and we very well might need this win at the end of the season.
After seeing what happened to burrow I hope they are very careful with him

If it's mild, can't be re injured and make it worse then yes this is a division game. If he injures it in the game and requires extended absence we may be screwed. Turf toe took out P Willy and Deion. It sounds like a subbed toebut it's a career altering injury if not taken care of.

I'm not sure I would go that far. He's only doing some limited work in practice.
Did the team ever say which foot it was? Also, which toe or toes. are involved? In any case I hope he plays if cleared by the medical staff. We really need to beat the Cards. Go Niners
If it's game time decision it means still a lingering issue and I doubt he plays. Get him ready for the next week and beyond where all of this becomes real with Rams, Tampa etc.

This game against the Cardinals matters a lot. Being 2-0 in the division after 3 weeks would be huge.

Yep especially in a division that is going to be as competitive as ours.
