Jordan Love had a 1-yr "prove-it" deal before his multi-yr extension, btw, didn't he?

Since this is all about investment, the harsh reality is that this is an extremely unique situation. Virtually every comparison you can come up with regarding them getting new deals is gonna be bad.

Was that prove contract signed when Love had one career start and a 1-1 TD to INT ratio?

I already miss 49er football, BP to Jennings is $. Solid. Tom got Olsen's job, no? Olsen was better I think. Tom, while he has gotten better at announcing, still feels like a guy who shows up at a party, brings lots of beer, tries to fit in but is wearing an itchy, turtleneck sweater. He is the turtleneck sweater of announcers lol.

Nice. Easily a top 7 qb and that's with bad pass pro

Should be a nice season with his #1 RB and #1 WR back
A Purdy ran offense, with a season from hell #4

27th in yards per point. 3rd worst season with Shanahan in this category.

I'm not putting that on Purdy alone obviously, but that's not good.

he just went for 4500 and 41 TDs and makes 100m over 3, or 33m aav.

i see the point he is making. if the player wants to say dak makes this, the club should be able to say well baker makes that, and he had a better year than you did

Your posts are just maddening because of how illogical they are. Baker's 2024 season couldn't possibly be more irrelevant to his salary or to this conversation in general. He signed his deal 2 years prior to putting up those numbers and his resume before he signed isnt in the same stratosphere as Brocks is.

We have to deal with him in the PL as well. Believe it or not, his posts are way worse there.

You always tell me he humors you, so I end up taking him off block. Then I just end up reading his posts and wanting to hang myself. Back to mute he goes.

what resume? try playing for cleveland. then see what the resume looks like. i try to view brock for what he is and understand he entered an elite situation. in 2022 i think most ppl were stunned he's even a functional guy, and he was balling. in 2023, the team was loaded, and we probably peaked some time around the philly beatdown. 2024 he did not have a good year.

What resume? Baker Mayfield ever finish top 5 in MVP voting? He ever help lead a team to the NFCCG or SB?

Why are you being so disingenuous in these conversations?

Mayfield did not have a great start to his career. He spent 2022 on 3 teams! He had a pretty good season in 2023 with the Bucs and signed a mid level deal to get some guaranteed money and stability. Do you think had he been eligible for a contract after this past year he would've signed the same deal? He'd be asking for substantially more money.

Brock has 40 something starts. Funny how nobody had concerns about Trevor Lawrence getting a new deal or Jordan Love but Brock "regressed" when the whole team did the same and should now take a deal comparable to a guy who bounced around the league after not performing to his draft status?

That's his M.O.

not good? better than a lot of other teams who had their starters
I was told that teams don't let players negotiate contracts with other teams to determine market value in possible trade scenarios and contract negotiations with their current team 🤔

I mean putting yards up has never been the issue, it was scoring pts. That's the problem.

Yards per point?
What is the value in that, TOP? The team was down 30 seconds per game from 2023.
Why no deal yet?

They're busy polling this thread to figure out how much Purdy is really worth.

The value is in understanding that yards don't mean much if you aren't converting yardage into points, and we were one of the least efficient offenses in the league in this regard last season.
