Let them battle in camp and be happy we got a couple young QBs. Thank god we can put the "pay Jimmy" stuff to bed.

Steve Young use to complain about passing lanes when his OLINE did not get the hands of the DL down.

Probably diverting blame from his 6-2 height compared to prototypical 6-4 or 6-5 guys.

Brock is even smaller, so lets hope we don't see more of that, but on the flip side if the DL is trying to get their hands up that will slow down the pass rush.

I think it is clear that the offense can be more explosive with Purdy, wonder if the training wheels will come off and Purdy will get more chances to attack the defense.

That may be the best pair of interior defenders in the league. They've been disrupting passing lanes all season. We don't hear about them much because their games have not been broadcast out here, however, if you get a chance to look at some of their games, you will see how good they are. Purdy will not face a tougher test this year.

What battle ? Purdy has thus far overcome every adversity thrown his way. He looks way more polished than Trey did. I think it's his job to lose; can't imagine Shanny not going with him in year 2.
Taken from another site:

Brock Purdy is the second QB since 1950 to start 3-0 and throw multiple TD passes in each of his first three career starts. The other was future Hall of Famer Kurt Warner in 1999, when he won NFL MVP and Super Bowl XXXIV MVP that season.

Jimmy can only dream of that throw away Purdy did.

All Brock does is win.

I didnt get to watch the game today.

drove me insane by the way - had my son texting me updates.

over all how did he look today?

15 for 22, 234yds, 2TDs and a pick (that was due to Jennings tipping it up).

Here's his first TD to Kittle.

Washington is, by far, the best defense he's faced so far.

He completed less than 50 % of his passes in the first half due to a couple of tips from DLs and Jennings bobbling a catch and batting it up in the air for the intercept doh.

Exactly!

As has been mentioned the first half was meh for him. It wasn't ugly, just never got started. The two tipped balls killed momentum. Didn't seem to phase him in the slightest though. Washington was strong overall up front.

Purdy seems to want to quietly steal the opponents' soul.

I still see a QB competition, but again that's a convo for 2023. Good problem to have

That throw probably gave Shanny flashbacks of his ex bae. But he's got his new bae in Brock. 😍

Yeah that looked like Cousins right there lol

Yeah I liked how things were down in the first half, but he was able to nut up and come out swinging in the second half. He didn't get down in the dumps like I have seen other QBs do when in that situation.
three starts now and his lowest passer rating in those games is 114.6

Incredible
