I totally get that and that's why he's QB1 currently. I don't think that he's gets that no matter what happens this yr. If so then just let Lance go. You can't have so much conviction in someone to make that type of trade and then just tell him nah after next to nothing.

I think overall it's such a small sample size to make drastic decision like he's the QB1 no matter what or he stinks no matter what. That's all.

Cowboys had a top 2 defense. But it sure wasn't #1

Under what metric were the Cowboys a top defense last year? Not points or yards given up. So what then?

Football Outsiders has the Dallas Cowboys rated as the number 1 defense in total DVOA. Dallas also ranks 1st in DVOa against the pass and number 6 against the run.

Dallas allows opponents to score points (touchdowns or field goals) on 32.7% of their drives; that's the 8th best in the NFL.

They had a great pass rush too with Micah parsons. Very fast defense. So when people try to knock his performance against the cowboys and say ridiculous things like "only 19 points"… it really shows they have no idea what they're talking about. It wasn't a dominant game by Purdy but it was a damn good game that displayed s lot of his intangibles.

Aren't you the guy with standards of 3 good qtrs, or whatever you was saying when talking about Lance to be considered a good game? But that was a damn good game by Purdy I mean it's obvious how much you love Purdy but at least be consistent. If it wasn't you who said that, I apologize, there's a bunch that trash Lance

His tendency to roll out to the left too much was actually schemed against and exposed during that game. He played right into their hands and his effectiveness was really limited that game. He did have his moments, but we were really lucky that Dak Prescott shat the bed against our defense.

These tendencies are the kind of things that will get exposed by most NFL defenses, ala Kap and the read-option and Jimmy's inability to drive the ball outside the numbers. This is one of the many reasons why I am not jumping to crown him the next FQB. I want to wait and see what happens and hopefully he proves that last year was not a fluke.
