I don't view those two as the same. One needed reps in the worst way. Hadn't played legit football since 2019 AND we made the biggest trade in franchise history for. He was always gonna need reps.
the other was the last pick in the draft and kyle called him Nick Mullens 2.0 when they first got him. Made the most of his opportunities for sure. That's why he gets first crack as the starter.
so let me ask you this. If we drafted Jaire Alexander & got 2 and a half games of football, didn't look like an all-star, and got hurt….then Lenoir played great for 6 games. He gets first crack at the starting position, Correct? If he doesn't play well over the course of a couple games and cost the team wins…you stick with Lenoir no matter what? I totally disagree.
We don't have a vet pro-bowler making stupid money at QB. We have limited sample sizes and I feel like that can be fluid. Just my two cents.
Cowboys had a top 2 defense. But it sure wasn't #1
