Kittle knows.

But but but Purdy was like Jimmy G in his limited sample size……righttttttttttt. Everything is similar except
Purdy has way better mobility
Purdy can extend plays for big gains
Purdy will go deep if he has to and keep defenses honest
and MOST importantly we scored what almost 8 more points per game with him.

All these Lance supporters can't deny these facts. I wanted Lance to work out and if Purdy is not a great qb then we can pivot to Lance and I'm sure he will do a solid job and still make us a yearly SB or at least playoff contender.

Kittle is saying pretty much what I've been saying overall. Trey is a starting caliber qb in this league, he just needs a ton of reps because he's so inexperienced. I think like two years of reps before we know what he is.

besides that, it's Brock's job to lose. If he comes back and continued where he was, that's a wrap (and stays healthy).

yep. Purdy #1 until he isn't.

My biggest hope this year is just for the starters to stay relatively healthy. Idc who it is, just tired of losing guys for the season. Missing a couple games here and there is normal but for our IR to look like the food bank line during the Great Depression is just ridiculous.

If you could guarantee me that Brock will be healthy for the next two seasons, I would consider trading Trey for the right offer. Unfortunately we don't know that to be true, and it's more likely we'll have injuries like we do every year.

If Purdy plays the entire year, stays healthy, while building off his initial success, I could see Trey being expendable or even gone next year. (for the right offer)

How kyle "unlocks defenses". Interesting tidbit from kittle. Posting here because we talk about his play calling all the time and how QBs play it.

I really wish people would stop taking what a small handful of posters say and make it sound like you need to fight the fight against a legion of posters with that opinion.

An overwhelming majority of us Niner fans were thrilled with Brock last year. I dont see the need to make posts like this when you are talking to a small fraction of a fraction of a fraction of Niner fans.

Who is saying Brock should be benched lol? I don't think anyone disagrees overall that Brock didn't earn the right to be the leader in the clubhouse and get first crack at maintaining the starting gig (when completely healthy and had considerable reps to play).

Overall Brock & Jimmy were pretty darn comparable. For all the people that loved Jimmy, not sure why you're offended by that comment now? Doesn't mean he can't develop or anything…overall the stats back it up. Brock is a little more mobile back there, it's not some super power thing though.

IMO some of us think that the best outcome is that all 3 QBs stay on the roster this yr because we've seen what happens to SF QBs. It's a long season and no one knows how it will turn out. Personally, I don't think any of the QBs have earned the right to play through poor play either. Not sure what that means as far as sample size (or how long one guys gets to play though it) BUT if Brock doesn't maintain that level from last yr. He will get benched at some point…unless they feel that they have zero chance to win with the other two…and if that's the case they shouldn't be on the team anyway.

I was happy for sure. I'm happy for any 49er when they play well and the team wins. I root for everyone. I also don't think what Alex posted was really that far off. We as fans get blinded by some stuff (good and bad) and can't make objective statements. Like Alex said as well…even if Brock is just a cheaper Jimmy, as long as we got Kyle, an elite roster, and they execute…they will win a ton of games. A Super Bowl? We will see…need everyone to be healthy for that s**t lol

The right side of his mouth tends to forget what the left side of his mouth says sometimes.

Your 2021-22 posts were cut JG, start TL and ride the ups and downs, he needs playtime, snaps, etc.

Excuse me? I've said for over a month that none of these QBs have earned the right to play through bad play at this point. If they were unwilling to do it with their highly drafted QB that they spent yrs of 1st on…they aren't gonna do it now.

You and faithful back at it…talking about the poster and trying to find gotcha moments instead of having a normal discussion. What's the point in talking to either of you? It always ends in this b******t pointing figures who's smarter than who crap.

Last I checked it's 2023. I've been posting that stance for months now.

you should get it Mr. Flip flopper. Where were you when I constantly put this in the thread?

If they can't let their highly drafted young rookie QB play through it. They aren't gonna let anyone.
