That's not out of the ordinary for him. That's why I've said he's like Mahomes in that ten yard window. He's not a burner but he is quick and can buy time, he can throw in a moment's notice from awkward positions, he's not afraid to do so, and he's still accurate without a platform.

It's the off platform stuff that's Mahomes-esque. The run around for 10 secs was a lil Kyler Murray-esque imo.
yet careful about making these comps, in relation to very specific aspects that remind you of very specific QBs, lest someone have the takeaway of 'oh you think he's gonna be better than Mahomes'

His running around stuff is more Rodgers in my eyes, younger Rodgers. But I get what you're saying with the mahommes thing.

and yeah, I'm just talking about that specific trait. Lol not the whole body of work.

man I love that stuff in a qb. It's so damn fun and soul crushing for a defense. If he can just keep doing what he did, we are going to be an absolute bulldozer this year.

Totally agree

Keeping the plays alive w/his movement reminds me of what Russell Wilson did to us on many occasions.

Add this to KS excellent play calls and we'll be a nightmare of OC's.

russell beat us like we kicked his dog or something when he was with seattle. Lol he was so amazing at running around to buy time and just getting soul crushing chunk plays out of it.

Early on I thought it was luck but after a while of him doing it so much, I just had to accept he was great at it. Lol

Thank you! HahH I post a lot from my phone and am not sure how to post that kind of stuff right from my phone. I know how in my computer but I rarely use it for this site
"And I think the biggest thing that people need to understand here is that what is being placed in the arms was to kind of pull that ligament back together to put things in place is basically made of collagen," Wagoner said. "It's a collagen tape, but it's very strong and the way [Dr. Jeff Dugas] explained it to me is that it's almost like Kevlar and it eventually dissolves. So when the ligament actually heals, that thing goes away and basically you're just kind of back to normal as opposed to putting a graft in like you do with Tommy John surgery."

Idk if anyone else was wondering this, but I was curious if the brace stays in the arm and if that benefits the ligament at all. So it turns out that as the ligament heals, the brace dissolves. Very interesting. I didn't know that
In talking to quarterbacks Nick Mullens and Clayton Thorson who have had the same surgery, Wagoner says the, "… returns they're getting have been kind of overwhelmingly positive."

Purdy will begin to ramp up starting next week, Wagoner said. But he won't immediately start throwing a football. It will a slow grind that's already begun with range of motion drills, and will have a lighter ball starting next week.

Mullens and Thorson gave Wagoner and Stephania Bell positive results.

"They never really had any issues feeling like themselves,"Wagoner said. "The main thing is is just not pushing themselves too far too quick. But once it comes back, the kind of feedback that they've been getting, once they start feeling comfortable, is that they feel all the way there. They don't they don't feel like there is some sort of thing that's going to hold them back once they reach a certain point. And then once they get there, they can start going."

PLAYOFF PURDY, BABY! Such an amazing play. He already had the rookie td record and the most tds by a qb In their first playoff game in NFL history. This would of added onto it. Crazy.

You can tell from his initial reaction Purdy was kinda mad Aiyuk didn't haul that perfect pass in since he took a pretty big hit.

Agree 💯%, and seriously, they have to do a better job on the scramble drills. Russel Wilson made a living just on the scramble drills alone.

Yeah. I was pissed he dropped it and I didn't even take a hit. Lmaoo thank god it wasn't a TD we needed.
Aiyuk shaving points

Hahahah trying to make some coin since he doesn't have his second contract yet.

i feel like Aiyuk is one of the most underrated players in the league. Very good all around player and usually dependable. Great run/route blocker too. I doubt we sign him to an extension :/ I'll miss the guy. Hopefully we can replace him properly
I love our core.. but i'm more excited for Bell and the TO clone in Isaiah

Yeah, I was posting in the Bell thread that the more I've looked into, the more I like him.

Isaiah winstead? Yeah I like his skill set. Very physically gifted. Pretty raw though from what I've seen. I think he will spend the year on the practice squad developing and will have a really good chance to replace Jennings next year. He's very intriguing.
Yeah that guy. I think the guy wants to play badly. a team who snatches him off our PS would need to put him on the 53. Which would give him a better chance to pllay

Then let's hope he isn't as raw as I think he is. I think Danny gray may lose his roster spot this year, which is tough because he's our only real speed guy, even though we don't use him.

How many WR do we keep on the roster? 4-5?
deebo, Aiyuk, jennings, Ray Ray - then what? One or two more?
tough call.. DS, BA locks

Jennings great chance to be a lock, but Bell already coming for that spot

Ray.. a ST need ?

Purdy needs a tall physical sideline or EZ WR threat who can fight for the ball.. still early but the ride to the Reg season should be a good one

Well with the new special teams rule on kickoffs, how necessary is Ray Ray? I like his speed and ability in offense , he contributes. Probably still need him for punt returns but bell did a really good job at those in college too.

yeah, it's going to be a really interesting camp battle. We will probably trade some quality guys because we can't keep 'em all. That's my guess, and not just at the WR position.

If the defense is as good as I think it will be, then punt returns will be more important than kickoff returns . RayRay did well with the punt returns.
So you feel good about the defense being as good as last year?
I'm concerned we lost a lot of rotational guys that will be hard to make up. I hope I'm wrong.

I feel great about it. I think it'll be better than last years, specifically pass rush and more dependable coverage.

Already had someone think I meant he has Mahomes' level field vision (which he may or may not). Mahomes does the run around stuff too though.
Let's hope Brock heals well and can have the same success he did last year. We have to keep in mind that it was only 7 starts. That's a pretty small sample size. In those starts we saw a lot of good and a couple of bad things like his tendency to roll back and to his left and an arm that's good but not super strong. DCs have been watching a lot of film and may defend him differently this season. He has good field vision so that helps him a lot but that can also be a problem if he tries to throw too deep into a disguised coverage. I want him to be the guy but I've been disappointed several times since Steve Young retired.

I liked Azeez Al-Shaair & Omenihu & Moseley (sucks he got injured) a lot & Jimmie Ward was very versatile. .

I understand you can't keep everyone though.
