Kinda hard to answer that right now. Probably could come back on this thread after preseason.

At that point the answer will be clear. Whomever it is will either make the 53 or be practice squad. Sudfeld is getting paid the most I believe. It'll probably be him. The other question is do they carry 2 or 3 QBs on the 53?

Hard to tell when one guy gets 3 throws and the other gets 1 throw.
I'm infinitely happier about our QB depth this year than last year though. That includes QB 1-4

Yeah it's pretty clear that Jimmy and Trey are 1 and 2. If there was any inclination that they were going to trade Jimmy, we'd probably see Sudfeld and Rosen start to get more snaps. It's definitely going to be something to watch next off-season. At that point Jimmy will be gone, Trey will be starting and who knows which QBs will be here competing to backup Trey.

This is the best 1-2 combo of QBs in the entire NFL. When you have a team stacked and ready to make a serious run at the SB, and you have two legit starters, (and you can afford them), you DON'T trade either one. You use this unique advantage as insurance, no matter who the QB is to win the SB. Doesn't matter who the starter is, when you have a pair like this, you just count your blessings and take advantage of a once in a generation situation.
There is no way JimmyG is getting traded this yr. Kyle and John are on a mission to win the SB, and we keep the guys we have as 1-2.

Since Trey is so aggressive all over the field, I feel a compromise on his new nickname is warranted : "BabyShark"

I don't believe that they want to get rid of Jimmy in a hurry. They have been pretty clear on that front. Jimmy and Lance are 1 & 2, and that gives us a very high quality backup, regardless of which one wins the job.

Can't way for Lance to blow up and your "baby kap" reference will fade away.
Trey Lancernick ?
sure.
just poking fun as some one else is trying to make that nickname stick
LOL
My hope is that he gets us some rings so that we can call him Trey "Cool" Jr.
There you go. that's a name I can get behind. lol
He'll be more than just cool.
"Ice" Trey.
LOL damn!
cannot make this ish up. it fits so right!
"He's like Joe Cool, but colder. We call him Ice Trey Lance"
I mean Ice Trae is already Trae Young of the NBA's ATL Hawks but don't let me rain on the parade
Who says there can't be one for the NBA and NFL.
at least it aint the same sport.
Like people used to call Flacco Joe Cool and that ain't even right.

This
The Eagles would not have their only ring if they didn't have this scenario and is the reason Foles was not traded the following year.
And their scenario was to a way lesser degree than what we have at the moment.
I've always been told that the most important position on your team is the starting QB...... the 2nd most important position on your team is the back up QB.
