Josh Allen didn't have much "pedigree" either. Dude was a 2 star recruit and not even close to nationally ranked. Mahomes was a 3 start recruit and not nationally ranked either. Both had next to nothing in offers. Now you could argue they're 2 of the top 5 QBs in the NFL.

Josh Rosen was a 5 star recruit and was the #2 national ranked recruit (#1 at QB) all that s**t goes in the trash once you get into the NFL.

We will see how it all goes. I think any of these QBs drafted would have been successful in SF... Some just have a higher upside and you gotten spend up for that.

There is a reason Mac Jones didn't cost 3 1st rounders or even one for that matter. And a reason he lasted till 15. The WFT team would rather stick with a 40 year old Journeyman QB than trade up a few spots to grab Jones. The Broncos had Jones fall into their laps and decided to stick with Lock and Bridgewater. The Panthers were more confident in Sam Darnold than Mac Jones. The Bears traded up and didn't grab Jones but grabbed Fields. It's very telling that you are a QB and two of your WR's were drafted before you and your RB was drafted just 9 spots after you.

Absolutely not bitter at all, and actually preferred Fields to Jones and Lance once we had traded up. However, I thought it was stupid and not necessary to move up like we did. I do not think Lance was worth half those assets and we could've went with either one of the qbs at 11 or o line help and rode JG out of this competitive window.

But you have to realize Lance wasn't going to fall to us.

so you have to understand they did this to get ahead of everyone else and have the QB of their choice minus Lawrence and Wilson.

Because who knows if any other team would have jumped to 5, 7, 8, 10 to get Lance.

Moving up to any of those spots were going to cost a heavy penny either way so they went all in for 3 and got the guy they wanted. that's it.
