Yes sir!

My hope is that Trey "Baby Kap" Lance is everything we hope he is.

Quest for 6!

Stop f**king calling him "Baby Kap". Lance is nothing like Kap. Lance is a better thrower, more talented, humble with elite potential. Kap was a stiffer Lamar Jackson who can run but can't throw for s**t, who also got figured out in his second full season then went ahead and seek attention for getting benched, his potential was nowhere near elite also.

Kap and Lamar are no scrubs...One lead his team to the SB (with over 300yrds passing) and the other is a league MVP. I love Trey and hope he can have a season like Kap to take the niners to the SB or Dominate the league like Lamar and get the MVP....

I don't get the Lance comparisons to Kap and Jackson. The latter two are more known for their legs than using their arm talent. Lance does not seem to be a one-read and run type of QB, so yeah, calling him "Baby Kap" is dumb.

Yeah, baby Kap is not a good comparison. Kap had a long wide up delivery, Trey has a nice compact delivery. They both can scramble, but that's where the comparison ends.

Exactly! Great point Mayo! Just because they both can scramble and have arm tatoos doesn't mean they are comparable. Lance, despite playing in a lower-tier division in college, is way more of a polished passer than Kap could ever dream of being.

Trey is a more accurate Cam Newton imo
Kap is a completely different player

Kap reminds me more of Randall Cunningham with that long wind up delivery.

You forgot to add that they're the same skin tone, otherwise no one would even bring up the name.

They're nothing alike as players. In fact it should probably be timeout worthy to even refer to both of them!

So excited for Trey, the physical tools should excite anyone, but I have just as much faith in who he is. We've got a real one here folks, the work ethic alone would give him a shot.

True but Randall was more shifty but they both had those long strides. Randall could throw rainbows I wish Kap had that kind of touch
Favourite presser quote for a while

Reporter "Trey, are you going to find a new place now you've signed your contract"

Trey "No I'm comfortable and it feels like home, I'm here anyway (at the facility) so I only need a place to sleep"

I have no doubt that we've made the right decision.

Based on your response, I am not sure you quite realized what I was saying. What I am saying is that a good run game keeps you in 2nd and 3rd downs that are reasonable, and being in those down situations is what helps your play-action game (along with being in first down, which again, everyone gets at least once per drive).

I can certainly agree with this. But I still will argue against any analysis that considers a gain of 45% on first down a success because you cannot find a 4.5 yard gain in a box score.

So you're saying it is exactly the same as it was back then, right? This place never changes … way too many fluffy, not well thought out hot takes.
He's Akili Smith with less college production.

Right. And Mac Jones is AJ McCarron with less college production.

Or he doesn't plan to stay that long

I'm just here to say he needs to go back to his helmet and face mask from college. Go Niners!

Possibly, but he has way more pedigree than Lance. Also didn't cost 3 1st rounders.
