Jets are going to build through the draft, like Shanahan and Lynch have done. Not a bad plan.

Not a big Jets follower but it doesn't sound like Joe Douglas cares much about what anyone else thinks. Saleh will take what he gets and like it.

Well its not a bad plan if you can draft well. We'll see if with Saleh, they can draft well.

Unfortunately i'm not a believer that Saleh will make the Jets great.

Could be. Todd Bowles is an elite DC but was a terrible HC. I also don't see Vic Fangio lasting much longer in Denver. Wade Phillips wasn't a good HC either.

So a fan wants to drive up the price of our free agents. Probably will ridicule the team if we lost them to the Jets.

As someone stated, Joe Douglas has final say. Also, bad teams have to pay more for free agents. Maybe the Jets couldn't get them at the price they wanted. Or maybe Saleh wants to build from scratch. Honestly I don't care. He's on the other side now.

Not sure why there's even a question...Lynch & Co have done a yeoman's job of keeping the core FA's he & Coach wanted to retain. They've added to them with Mack, Ebukam, Tavon Wilson, Kerr and hopefully LB Nathan Gerry. Hopefully they can re-sign K'Wuan, too. All in all, I think we're in considerably better shape than last year when so many starters were out. JL has re-signed starters & improved our depth. Still 9 picks in next month's draft where he can improve the roster further.

Well KittleMeThis' point was (I think) scangarello was out and now he's back, same thing might happen to Saleh in a year or two depending on a lot of things. Personally I like the defensive moves Demeco is making and if the results are good, I'm sticking with Demeco even if Saleh is available.

Good point. Even if this HC gig doesn't work out (it is the Jets after all) he will probably still be high demand as a DC. After we have 9 sacks and 4 turnovers in the Superbowl it will be hard to give Demeco his walking papers.
