QB. Play Beathard for the rest of the season since there's something wrong with Jimmy ( mentally and physically )
RG. Give the rookie a shot
RT. Play Brunskill
Defensively. replace ward with Moore.
Move Armstead inside full time, and find someone else to play the edge.
Coaching wise. Use Mostert as much as possible, and get Kittle the ball as much as we can.

Until Kwaun Williams comes back, we need to play Ward or Verrett at nickel, depends on who is available. Either Moore play FS on nickel package, or if 2 of them ( Sherman, Mosley and Witherspoon) are available than Verrett can start and move to the slot at nickel package.

This would make the offense more effective, giving Jimmy some easy throws. But that is part of the problem imo. I know Jimmy can make the throws that are schemed up to provide an open primary target. I want to see him with a straight dropback, make a read, make the throw. This is where he needs to improve and the only way is to do it. Do it, fail at it, improve at it.
Last season, when it became clear the 49ers were capable of big things in the postseason, Kyle had to win games. That means scheme up the offense the best he could. If this season is not destined for the playoffs, then I want to see less rollouts, less RPOs, less screens. Make Jimmy earn his passing yards and in the meantime give Kyle a good read on what kind of QB he is. Is Jimmy the type that can stand on his own and make plays, or does he need all the creative misdirection to get explosive plays?
I estimated that nearly 25% of Jimmy's passes in 2019 were well schemed plays that did not require him to make quick, accurate postsnap decisions - just complete the playfake, look up and there's an open target, or throw a screen pass - simple stuff for a QB to do. If this season is not shaping up to be a playoff season, then take off the training wheels to the offense.

If you bench Jimmy too long the season could be lost. Should have started CJ for the Fins game though.

Sorry but, Moore has done nothing great at all to earn a starting spot. He's a backup at the best and a special teamer. If he was so freakin good he'd be starting, but he's not. If he was such the playmaker that the Zone here says then he would be playing a lot more. The CB experiment failed, so he's stuck at safety. There's nothing much to evaluate on Tim Harris either as he would've been called up already given our lack of depth at the spot. He must be healthy, but also not good if he's still on the PS. The fact he has been with the team for two seasons, and has the most familiarity with the scheme yet cannot get off the PS tells me he sucks .
Ward is not having the best year but he had a hell of a year last year, and showed why he is the starter. A year I highly doubt Moore would've had.
I'd like to see them bench some starters and lets see what we got in some of our draft picks (which is far and few), especially in McKivitz.
Try to trade Spoon indeed, but nobody will trade for him. Best bet is to just fkn cut him. He sucks and he won't come back to bite us in the butt.

McKivitz first start against 99?!? That makes as much sense as taking Brian Allen from the practice squad to an island by himself..

Seasons already lost people just don't want to admit it. Last year we had a dominant defense that carried our offense and allowed them to run the ball and have a short passing game. With all the injuries this is a shell of the defense we had last year. When we fall behind because of our defense this team is not built for a shoot out every week. It is what it is.Originally posted by TheXFactor:If you bench Jimmy too long the season could be lost. Should have started CJ for the Fins game though.

Release
Richburg
Alexander
Possibly Ford but since the restructure who knows if it's worth it
Do not resign
Tartt
Resign
Sherman
T Williams
Slot bc Williams
Hyder
Free agency
Sign a Center and/or a Guard
Sign a cb
Main thing I would do I hire a team of reputable doctors scientists priests voodoo priests and any other spiritual healers to help reduce injuries. After all, with a relatively healthy team we would be 5-0 easily

Why play Beathard the rest of the season once Jimmy is healthy? Jimmy is still the best of the 3 QBs, and he's the guy we're paying $25M this year to. There is no point in not playing him if he's on this team, unless you think another QB on the roster is better than him.

I wouldn't make any major changes. This season is going to come down to the healthiest team at the end of the year. I have a feeling Covid is going to wreck havoc on some teams still. Injuries early on just did us in.
I'd sit Jimmy until he is 100%. I'd start Mullens instead of CJ.
I'd sit down with Saleh and tell him he needs to do a better job at getting those inexperienced guys help. Those calls he made are inexcusable but I wouldn't fire him.
The guys on the bench like that rookie tackle aren't any better than the guys starting. I'd probably start looking at OL coaches though.
I'd convince the GM to invest heavily in the oline and corner in the offseason.
Id be open to trade just about anyone not named Bosa, Warner, Kittle, Deebo, Aiyuk, and Kinlaw.

Why not play Jimmy when healthy?
Why move Armstwad inside when Kinlaw and Jones are doing just fine? That doesn't make sense.

Fire baldy Saleh would be the first thing I would do. I agree with everything else the OP has highlighted, well almost. I would have McG play LT (HUGE RISK, i know) but I would want to see if he is serviceable there. (if not, then brunskill. IIRC, he did quite well at LT last year. ) Then have McKivitz play RG and have Brunskill play RT. But the OP is spot on though.
