Can't say that for sure.

How you play the game is based mostly on score, and had the 49ers made that FG instead of the failed 4th down attempt, the Cards would have played the game differently.

Maybe we win, maybe we don't.
Anybody got any non-sports channels they enjoy watching? Need to avoid ESPN and NFL Network for the entire week (and probably season). They're going to be so unbearable.
That was painful! I thought we had it in the bag when Mostert took it to the house in the 1st quarter. We were missing Deebo and Aiyuk incredibly badly. I still have faith in the team, we MUST clean up in NY and get our top WRs back on the field.

So same production for first 8 weeks?

Better hope Aiyuk and Deebo back next week before this becomes a real s**tshow.

Deebo is not back until week 4
besides deebo is not a savior, not even a #1 WR
the problem is jimmy gee and he needs to go

Agreed he is a game manager nothing more, if you count on him to win games it's not gonna happen, he a qb who needs a great defense and running game to work or he will fold like a blanket, dude isn't even mobile

The good:
Running backs all looked decent. Was surprised how much burn Jet got in this game. The only bad thing from them was the 4th and goal and not converting. This team time and time again cant get the short yardage when needed.

Punt game was good (minus the block that wasn't Mitch's fault. Zona pinned deep many times.

The bad:
Jimmy G, looked like Jimmy G, decent when he can drop back plant and throw he looked ok. When having to make any decision or read problems arose.

WR's just absent.

Secondary looked lost many times, played to far off receivers, guessing in hopes of keeping them in front of them. But in doing so gave up 10 yard cushions over and over

D line had little pressure throughout the game. Partly from a few long AZ drives that tired them out.

The horrible:
Refs, how can the NFL continue to put out such bad officiating crews year after year. So many missed calls on both sides, many phantom calls. Just flat out bad.

Not sure how you can put punt game in "good" when a blocked punt and the points off that turnover were the difference in the game.

Because the block was a break down in coverage. Mitch Had an excellent game otherwise

Agree, still some time to turn it around. We were 4-2 the first six games in 1988 when we won #3. Too early to panic in my opinion. There is still a lot of stuff that can be fixed just by getting more reps and playing together more. Also getting some of our starters back on OLine and WR should help too.

I keep giving Jimmy the benefit of the doubt even tho I know he isn't the guy that will lead us to the promise land and he keeps letting me down. I think he is a great teammate and leader, but when it comes to pure QB skills, he is severely lacking. I'll ride this season out and we will be competitive and maybe make the playoffs, but we won't win a super bowl, which is all i care about. I am very interested in making a play for A-Rod next year. Our defense is still young and if we get A-Rod, our super bowl dreams will become a reality.

I hope Jimmy can make it happen, but from my extensive beer drinking, 49ers watching, arm chair quarterback knowledge, I don't see IT in him.

As always, it's 9ers over everything and I hope to hell the 9ers win a super bowl cuz i'm tired of losing. I'm born in 87 and I don't consider the 94 super bowl a win for me since I was so young. All I want is my team to win and it's so damn hard on me.

GOOOO 9ERS TIL THE DEATH OF ME!!!

Rodgers isn't a free agent next year though. I think hes signed through 2024?

Rodgers wants outie
with the right offer he gone
BUT sure 49ers gonna find a way to feel secure with jimmy gee (just like passing on manning and brady)

Punters can slide or kick away from the middle of the Line where the breakdown happened. Not entirely his fault but he's not blameless.

For those who thought that Arizona was a nothing-burger team, they underestimated them.

We lost. The coaches and players will make adjustments, and the team will be fine.

It's a good thing we didn't lose Kittle.

I still think Kittle is injured but fought to play on

Jimmy didn't seem to look his way after that. He's hurting.

It happened plenty of times last year where he won the game.

I'm sure they're going to get an MRI just to make sure.

The Cards played us tough last year and I predicted those games were going to be tough too (but more because they sandwiched that primetime MNF with the Seahawks).

Jimmy had great statistical games in each of them, but it's not like it was full on domination either. Had a feeling this game was going to be tough when the injuries at WR piled up.

Don't worry it will be 90% Buccaneers talk

Especially when we decide not to cover Hopkins....

Saleh is useless. He couldn't stop Murray last year and he couldn't stop him today, the guy almost had 100 yards of rushing by himself. Where was our spy? As for Hopkins, is self-explanatory. The guy is smooth and he knew where the sticks were in every down.

wonder why browns did make him their HC

Overrated.

Our D only became good when we added Bosa and Dee Foed, But, it wasn't Saleh who coached the D-line, it was Chris Kocurek who made the difference.

Guys. We laid an egg to an inferior team. Arizona's defense was abysmal last season and they only addition they made was Simmons who actually helped us if anything.

Yet Jimmy missed wide open receivers, Kinlaw did nothing and the entire defense took a huuuuuuge step back.

It's not an overreaction to say this team will be a fringe-playoff team at best this season. They didn't show me anything that tells me everything will be okay.
