NFL owners and designated team representatives gathered Wednesday at an Atlanta hotel to formally vote on the sale of the Seattle Seahawks. The sale was approved, while the league also addressed other issues.
Normally, it's assumed that San Francisco 49ers owner Jed York would represent his team at such a meeting. However, following his arrest over the weekend after responding to an ad on a prostitution website as part of a sting operation conducted by the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force, York was not in attendance—which shouldn't come as a surprise.
York pleaded no contest Monday morning to two misdemeanor charges: disorderly conduct and possessing criminal tools.
According to Mark Maske of Front Office Sports, 49ers CEO Al Guido is believed to be representing the team in Atlanta in York's place.

It's worth noting that Guido has regularly attended owners' meetings in recent years. He was promoted to CEO in February after spending 10 years as the 49ers' president and 12 years with the organization. Guido reports directly to York.
