No no no. And no.

You clearly haven't watched his game today, with Rodgers we're winning a SB and for sure would've won last year.

For those who thought that Arizona was a nothing-burger team, they underestimated them.

We lost. The coaches and players will make adjustments, and the team will be fine.

It's a good thing we didn't lose Kittle.

Amen

The Cards played us tough last year and I predicted those games were going to be tough too (but more because they sandwiched that primetime MNF with the Seahawks).

Jimmy had great statistical games in each of them, but it's not like it was full on domination either. Had a feeling this game was going to be tough when the injuries at WR piled up.

Felt the same way.
Aaron Rodgers >>>>>>>>>>>>> Jimmy G. I'll take Aaron in a heart beat. JimmyG is regressing.

Well, for one thing AB is suspended for the first 8 games.

So same production for first 8 weeks?

Better hope Aiyuk and Deebo back next week before this becomes a real s**tshow.

Deebo is not back until week 4
besides deebo is not a savior, not even a #1 WR
the problem is jimmy gee and he needs to go

Agreed he is a game manager nothing more, if you count on him to win games it's not gonna happen, he a qb who needs a great defense and running game to work or he will fold like a blanket, dude isn't even mobile

It happened plenty of times last year where he won the game.

Like the Super Bowl right ? When we were down he did nothing with the remaining 7 min and overthrew sanders
No Super Bow; this year! And maybe no playoffs!

I still think Kittle is injured but fought to play on

It looked that way to Me too.

yes sir! 90% chances he misses the next 2 games
no post game interviews?? anybody knows??
We're about to have no Kittle on top of the bs wr corp against the jets, Kittle probably only played due to adrenalin just like last year where he missed 2 games after.

That was painful! I thought we had it in the bag when Mostert took it to the house in the 1st quarter. We were missing Deebo and Aiyuk incredibly badly. I still have faith in the team, we MUST clean up in NY and get our top WRs back on the field.

Bourne played a great game. could have done more if Jimmy played better (or can throw further than 15 yds). And Pettis had no chance; one awful floater into double coverage. We'll see when those guys get back. They do suit Jimmy's game better; quick short throws and aggressive running after the catch. Almost like hybrid RBs

No kidding. LOL complaining about the WRs. That's just flat wrong. They were there. They were open. Jimmy can't find them and when he did he wasn't accurate. He cannot make the whole repertoire of plays. He plays primarily the quick, one read short throw and YAC game. The long ball? Forget it. He's just not that kind of QB. And SF will have that limitation as long as he's the QB. You'll see. He'll gut out some impressive wins because of KS's play calling and his competitiveness. But he's not elite as I've heard suggested.

One fundamental skill of an elite QB is to see the whole field and have the ability to throw your receiver open. He left countless plays like that on the field in this game. That has never been a part of Garoppolo's game and it looks like it will always be a limitation. He's got everything else. The demeanor, leadership, attitude. Just short on skills. I pretty much agree with Chris Simms assessment of Jimmy. What I'm concerned about is that DC's will figure out this limitation of Jimmy's game. It'll make defensing the 9ers easier and Kyle's job more difficult. He'll be forced to become more creative in the run game.
I predicted a 10-6 season. hope we get there. I think that we have a good chance at that.

A good quality QB can put a team on his back and pull out the win especially with Kyles play calling. Jimmy just needs to make the reads and get rid of the ball quickly and accurately. He doesn't need to be perfect, just efficient. That's all we ask of him. But right now that's very questionable. When Kyle doesn't trust Jimmy, he needs to tone down the offense which handicaps Kyles genius. Sure we are down receivers and Kittle was nicked but this should have been a W.
Guys, why is watching 9er ball so hard!? I JUST WANNA WIN A SB!!!!!

Jimmy has 2 games ahead of him he should win. I'm not near ready to pull him yet. We'll see after those games.

Agree, still some time to turn it around. We were 4-2 the first six games in 1988 when we won #3. Too early to panic in my opinion. There is still a lot of stuff that can be fixed just by getting more reps and playing together more. Also getting some of our starters back on OLine and WR should help too.

Agree.

Check the stats today. He still has skills. A-Rod > Jimmy every day of the week and that's the honest truth.

And absolutely destroyed the vikings at home 360/4. I like that kinda party. But JG was playing the vaunted Az F.

I don't really care how he did in one game against a defense that we tore a new one in last season and was missing their star pass rusher.

He regressed greatly last season. Next season he'll be 37-38.

And this is coming from someone who's all for upgrading at QB if we can. But Rodgers ain't it.
