It all just depends on how things unfold over the next 2 months. Are there any new treatments that get established? How does the German league hold up? Do we see MLB and NBA resume play as well? A lot can change before training camp is slated to start to really its just wait and see mode right now.

Agreed, right thing to do, I hope there's a season, even without fans. We've seen what happens when states open up to early, more sickness, deaths, etc..... If they want to go out, then let them, it's their death and grave their digging, like in Florida with the beaches being opened for Spring Break.

Adam Schefter's story from a couple hours ago (which is not picking up much steam for some reason) all but guarantees there will be a season, IMHO.

It basically said if the NFL has to, they will push back the Super Bowl weeks or possibly even months to make sure the season happens.

All teams share a bye with their Week 2 opponent. (Jets, 49ers have a Week 11 bye, for example). That suggests that SF's perfect NY-NY road trip might not happen even if the beginning of the NFL schedule is tacked onto the back end of the season calendar.
