With as little as he made so far. We could probably offer him somewhere in the 11-13 aav. Puts him in the Jakobi Myers, Lazard, Slayton, Mooney, Gabe Davis, Shakir and Sutton range.

If it were me I'd lock him up at that price for sure

Yeah this worries me, would like to extend him before it gets that far. Dude is coming off a hot year and now going into a contract year with Ayuik down and Deebo traded he's WR1 I'm sure he's going hard in training cause this is the year he's worked his whole life for. I'm excited, too bad it had to be this year he might really pop off when we've gutted a good chunk of our roster

He ran a 4.7 40 yard dash time yet he is always getting open. BEAST!

Lock him up

You don't need blazing speed to get open. Tight patterns and footwork are more important. You pointed out that Rice wasn't a blazer but there have been many great receivers that weren't really fast. The Raiders had Biletnikoff. Seattle had Steve Largent. Dwight Clark wasn't super fast. The list is long.

Not many super fast reeivers turn out to be great. I'm talking about the guys that run sub 4.35. Most of the best ones are in the 4.5-4.7 range.

Jerry Rice wasn't really a 4.7 athlete. If you look at the 40s from even the early 2000s, guys had no clue what they were doing. I can't imagine how hilariously bad it was in the 80s. Guys today are dialed in with their techniques. Jerry Rice would run a blazing 40 time with the amount of training that today's athletes receive. Imagine how obsessed someone like Jerry would be with dialing in their start, stance, etc. He would run an easy 4.3 IMO.

For example, Terrell Owens ran a 4.63 in college, but ran a 4.4 at 48 years because he actually learned how to properly run a 40-yard dash.

So maybe he runs a 4.5 or 4.45 with preparation. It doesn't change the fact that you don't need to be super fast to be great.

No, you don't need to be super fast to be a good wide receiver. Jauan Jennings is proof of that.

he's another CARL PICKENS or Cris Carter.. . just get the ball around his range and he be fine.. he be fine..
Longer body, legs arms, proper route, breaks fast enough to get separation from smaller DBs, it only takes a foot, then ball in his hands... he knows where the sticks are and how to get there. That's all that matters, he isn't gonna out run most of those speedy DBs, but all he needs is that foot of separation
