Please god just get him resigned!

Why is moving to SF a big deal? He probably lived in some suburb outside of it and decided to move his family to the city

Let's hope there's good news today! Either we resign him or get a great return. I think just about all of us would prefer to resign him.

If we don't resign him, I hope we figure out a way to finesse another stud WR - someone of Adam's caliber - or even a stud DE that we desperately need.
At the end of the day, the BA situation might end up being like a baby who cries themselves to sleep. Niners should kick the offer up to 27.5 and let's get this thing done!

This has been mentioned several times over. I think they are going to wait "the baby" out. Maybe, we have some face saving move coming, but I see no reason for the Niners to capitulate. And let's be clear, 26 mill, if that is the number, is a fair amount for where Aiyuk is currently. Further, if accurate, I think asking two first round picks or an equally valuable player in return is totally fair.

I think what is absolutely ruthlessly brilliant is that the Niners have essentially turned Aiyuk's argument that he is worth more and is a top flight wide receiver against him. They are actually agreeing with him. They are not slighting him, but they are not willing to give him away, either.

It's not. He's trying to control the online narrative.

He's already got half of this board demanding Lynch to pay him off of tweets with incomplete information.

I honestly don't think that bit of information going public helps him. Makes it look like he's locked into the 49ers and would accept a lower offer from us…

They are also making it clear to other players who have contracts coming up — you are not a UFA, so we aren't going to offer you like one.

I don't think so, look at Deebo, Bosa, and Fred. They seem to be making a point to quit taking this to social media and hinting you are leaving every few weeks.

He has been on and off with his tantrums since the superbowl. Deebo requested a trade, but wasn't acting a fool. Bosa and Fred didn't say anything.

I beg you to stop acting like a difference is $2m APY could be the only issue.

What if he wants less years and the Niners want more control?

What if he wants more gtd money than anybody else?

What if he wants a no trade clause?

The point is who knows - but APY is not the only material issue in any agreement.

everyone needs to read this article so we can all truly understand the financial side of this situation. Niners aren't far off from his value but a lot of these WR contracts are bloated.

it's a really informative read.

Aiyuk himself said earlier this offseason he'd moved his family to SF
