wasnt meant to be an argument. Was just highlighting that BA is probably trying to get what he feels others on the team have gotten

IMO that DJ Moore deal is fair. Maybe a little bit more.

edit:

Make it work SF

If this is true an SF can't make it work them they don't want it to work.

But the figure of 28 million APY isn't all there is to it either. There's signing bonus and the total amount of fully guaranteed money involved, etc. The apy amount tells only part of the structure of the contract. It's somewhat important, but doesn't tell the whole story.
Houshmendzadeh saying "hey come up with 28 million a year and he'll sign on the dotted line" is nice but he's kind of talking out of his ass at the same time.

I don't know the numbers for the franchise and player personnel but I want whatever is best for the team as a fan, if it means letting someone walk now to be able to keep players down the line then so be it. But if they can afford it and maintain other players in the future then do it.

We gotta resign him. BA and Slick Rick are our future 1/2 combo. Niners should up the offer a little, Aiyuk should sign, and both parties should show up to work Monday like George Costanza and pretend nothing ever happened.

We definitely need to at this point. No WR is going to be able to come in here and learn Kyle's playbook in less than a month. Get this done so we can wrap up Trent as well afterwards.

Agreed. If he wants that $28 per on his resume then they can make it look like that's what his APY is no problem. I'm sure the reality of it is the gtd $ needs to be there with the agent.

Why do we still take this Twitter account seriously?
I don't think he's playing for us again. At some point they are going to trade him. do we really think we are going to get full effort out of him if he doesn't get a new deal and if forced to play on his current deal?

Competitive people don't have an off button. Aiyuk seems like a highly competitive person

And if he were to mail it in, what team is gonna feel comfortable giving 28m or more to a player like that?

Playing for his next contract in that scenario. Would have motivation to perform.

I mean he was quoting Houshmandzadeh who is his private WR coach. I believe he was on 95.7 or whoever talking about it.

I agree that account is not a source. It's just compiles other tweets.
