the only positive from this situation is that BA hasn't been practicing so it isn't like we've prepped all off season and practiced like Aiyuk is going to be here. So a lot of other guys have got tons of reps.

just need the young guys to stay healthy.

His hubris is hurting his brand and his team. he needs to strap on a helmet and get out there, or go home. I think it's about respect, or his perceived lack of it, although respect is earned not given. His ego won't allow him to play, watching certain other receivers out there making more money than him. and he feels slighted by SF, who is simply trying to keep the gang together for another run.
He's acting like a free agent a year too early. He wants his cake and eat it too.

To me it sounds like they were some tampering. It might be hard to prove, but Aiyuks confidence and actions leads me to believe he has an offer.

Thing is he could have an offer that is willing to pay him $50 million per year. The 49ers are under no obligation to trade him.

The fact that Aiyuk said no to the Pats means he's not just looking to cash in. Honestly this is highly frustrating as a fan who wants the best for his team. I can almost guarantee if the 49ers upped the guaranteed offer to him he would sign today.

Hearing they haven't given him anything new since May is pretty disrespectful honestly. I totally understand we still have a very good team and we don't NEED Aiyuk to win games BUT we also know Aiyuk is young, he's entering his prime, he's highly talented and reliable. Having him out there makes us better and it makes us super dangerous.

Find a way to pull this out and keep the guy here.

I agree he wants to cash in. "Reports" say NE offered him $31ish mil? He's not cashing in more than that in any scenario

Right. But now he can act like a fool cause he knows there's a moneybag waiting for him if he can just get out of our contract.

Such a trash offer, they don't want to give up anything worth a damn for an all pro wr whose 26

I mean the 49ers don't want to pay him his worth so there is that

No, the 49ers don't want to pay him what HE THINKS he is worth.

Exactly
Sounds like he's wanted to go to the Steelers all along. Possibly they tampered over the offseason when he was posting on twitter.
My guess is they aren't even offering him the best deal, maybe not even much more (if any) than the Niners.

Lol well the team gave him and his agent permission to negotiate with certain teams. So of course he knows what they're willing to pay him - that's normal. BA has to agree to terms with a team if we want the best trade otherwise his trade compensation drops drastically if he's a one year rental for the team.

DDefinitely some tampering. Been Pittsburgh smoke for a while from BA. To him posting something regarding looking like Tomlin, to him on video driving somewhere with a Pirates hat on, and to Ryan Clark on espn knowing a lot about this situation for months and speaking on it.

These is something there

Yeah... about that...

Maybe the 49ers should withdraw the offer and place the 5th year option sheet in front of him. Tired of your crap, BA.

There isn't s sheet. They picked up the option, he is under contract and can star losing money if he misses games and practice.

I was just referring to a copy of the 5th year option (exercised option from the contract).
At this point unless the Steelers come with a great offer, I'm making him play on his 5th year or you sit out and start getting fined. You wanna play hard ball? Then let's play hard ball. I feel confident we can still make playoffs without him. Long before the playoffs he should realize that 14 mil is still 14 mil and start to play.

Haven't seen anything yet to indicate he won't play hardball
Btw, I read the deal we had in place with NE was confirmed to include Kendrick Bourne. I think this was stated by Maiocco or Barrows, a local beat writer that's really in the know. That makes me sick if it was just like him and a 2nd. Judon and a 2nd I could get behind. Would be a sick rotation between Bosa, Floyd and him.
