Yeah, if he shows up then they can say look how crazy you are.. team suspension..

but I don't think they would. I think they just want him to man up before reinstating him then cut him afterwards

At this point.. Just move forward. 49ers don't need any distractions going into TC. Locker Room has to be Connected and Whole.
It's only a distraction to fans. BA has been gone for awhile now.

I feel like it's only a distraction to the team when it's an active person on the roster. cause that messes with the starting lineup, media circus, team chemistry etc. the roster is set and BA isn't apart of anything except the news cycle. he hasn't really been apart of it for most of last season too.

also, I dont think this is a distraction for the team cause I highly doubt most of, if any, the players side with BA on what's happened. kinda makes it moot, IMO.

This
This guy is incredibly ignorant. Maybe this is what happens when talented athletes have their lives run for them by others? They don't learn the elementary protocols for simple things.

If help is needed, one should ASK for it.

I have seen some say CTE, some bi-polar, can we also add blatant narcissism to the list (likely already mentioned, and I missed it). Dude is a nut!

It's kind of unlikely that CTE is causing this. He hasn't played that much and his position isn't usually getting a lot of blows to the head. Not like a LB or lineman. Now he's blaming the players union. He's blaming everyone but himself.

interesting, thanks for that. I dont think he's going to have an easy time getting reinstated. I've said it a couple times - i dont see him playing in the NFL again. at least not this season.

It's like abandoning a job, talking smack to the company etc, and then trying to go work for one of their other locations. lol I think Aiyuk thinks he's so good that teams will still want him - like he's overinflated his own value. he was a very good player for us but he wasn't special and now he's damaged goods. He may still be able to play but it's not good to be damaaged goods with a bad attitude and media circus.

I guess he is learning from Kap how to f**k up his career.

Word
I really hope that this young man get the professional help he clearly needs. While most think that his crash-out is funny, I don't. This is a dangerous cry for help, and sadly not many people are listening, or are compassionate enough to care to listen. Many are just seeking the most convenient adjective to attach to him in order to make dismissing him easier.
Honestly at this point the team gains nothing by having him. I mean just release him, loose all the noise and let some other team get blown up instead.

Don't we get cap relief by him not showing up?

Aiyuk gains something by being released. Hell I hope Aiyuks on the roster next year sitting at home posting daily they need to cut him.

What do you expect a bunch of working class internet posters to do for an entitled athlete living in a mansion? Show up with signs outside of his house?

It's clear he's run off all those who did care and is left with nothing but enablers.

1. The noise doesn't do anything to the 49ers. Aiyuk is basically under contract but not a member of the team.

2. You release him just because he's making noise on social media and don't force him to at least show himself in person and do this like a professional then you're telling someone else there is a path off the team after they get paid big money if they want to make enough noise.

3. If he doesn't show up to get off the DNR list properly they can get more money back and it doesn't give an NFC rival a chance to add him even if they may not pull the trigger due to his craziness.

This guy was acting a fool before his injury, if pride and arrogance is a mental disorder he does need help and it's called having an agent so your feelings don't get in the way of rational thought. I don't wish ill will on him but I hope he gets the reality check he needs

He also is all about the trolling community part of the internet. So seeing his "mental go boom" as the kids would say is genuinely funny.

He's obviously been an odd dude the whole time. I went back to look at Deebo's Player's Tribune article after we traded him to Washington since Commander fans were trying to pretend Deebo left the 49ers on bad terms too and in there Deebo had a little blurb how he got close to Aiyuk even tho he wasn't talking to anyone.

The guy just seems like an extreme case introvert which doesn't play well with the NFL. There may be some mental issues happening here non CTE related.

There are really two realities here right now IMO. Either Aiyuk is somehow trolling everyone and thinks this is a way he can push the 49ers for a release without having to do the legwork to earn it or he's legit delusional to the level where everyone is to blame for his issues and his perception is completely warped.

lol wtf you want people to do? I don't buy he's crashing out and this is a cry for help. I think he's just dumb and this is just who he is. He's also apparently surrounded himself with like minded people.

Case in point his former agent texted his wife only for BA to threaten him. John Lynch literally went to his house to talk to him like a man and he calls him weird and threatens him online like a teenager. He also mentions his wife needing to circle the block until John Lynch leaves. His wife isn't helping him at all and could have easily done some type of intervention. Is his wife crashing out too?

Notice how none of his former teammates are saying much. They could easily echo what you are saying. Kittle is the only one that has said anything and has never spoke negative about anyone to my knowledge and said "good luck with that and everything that comes along with that" when ask what the Commanders can expect.

He a grown ass man pushing 30 years old. I just can't comprehend how all of HIS BS actions equates to everyone else not being compassionate for him. Aiyuk himself made dismissing him easier; no convenient adjectives needed
