Since it's the reserve / left squad list he has to you know, actually return to the squad…

After all it is the Niners that has him on reserve designated as having abandoned or left the squad. He HAS to return unless he's gonna wait two more years
I don't think he has to be there physically to get the process rolling like the way we can just cut him without being there physically.

but he's off the books and if he want to get cut, he's gonna have to do it face to face.

Yup and according to him; he will never return to the 49ers facility until Wash plays the 49ers. That was assuming he's on the that team and playing in that game in his delusional mind.

I don't know how it works but doesn't he have to return to the facility for reinstatement?

From all I've read he has to apply for reinstatement and conduct a physical with the team he hates so much 😂. Not totally clear on if and when we could suspend his ass, but this is all muddy water.

I'm not 100% on this but I believe it's a two part thing. He has to apply with the NFL for reinstatement but then has to actually show up for the 49ers to officially get him off that list. As Pillbusta put it…it's did not report list so he does have to actually report.

The guy is just a mentally weak player so he's hoping to force the 49ers to release him without having to do all of that.

It's no different than someone trying to break up over a text. Nah man up and do it in person.
Is BA just delusional, thinking the Commies will sign him? Or has he been tampered with by the Commies? Or is he getting blown smoke by Jayden Daniels?

And if we release him as he wants, then who to say other superstars from other teams dont do the same thing if they want to go play on their friend's team? Thinking NFL owners do not want players breaking contracts to go wherever they want.

BA has to get approval to be taken off the reserve list from the 9rs first as he's still under contract. He can't go through the NFL first as they can't reinstate him as it would be going over the 49ers heads on their disciplinary actions

If he was a FA then he can go straight to the NFL

Ooo Ok Thanks. So he has to be " re-instated" by the 49ers first and the 49ers can also place disciplinary action on him.

Yeah, if he shows up then they can say look how crazy you are.. team suspension..

but I don't think they would. I think they just want him to man up before reinstating him then cut him afterwards

At this point.. Just move forward. 49ers don't need any distractions going into TC. Locker Room has to be Connected and Whole.

Also he can't just show up and say "Hey I'm here, now release me", he has to petition the NFL to reinstate him, and he hasn't done that yet.

I'm curious what's in the petition because if he doesn't have a good reason, I'm sure the league can tell him no. Based on how he's been behaving - I think the league will "protect the shield".

peope talk about the petition like it's just paperwork thing. And it may be, but I doubt it. I can see the commissioner coming down on him.

interesting, thanks for that. I dont think he's going to have an easy time getting reinstated. I've said it a couple times - i dont see him playing in the NFL again. at least not this season.

It's like abandoning a job, talking smack to the company etc, and then trying to go work for one of their other locations. lol I think Aiyuk thinks he's so good that teams will still want him - like he's overinflated his own value. he was a very good player for us but he wasn't special and now he's damaged goods. He may still be able to play but it's not good to be damaaged goods with a bad attitude and media circus.

It's only a distraction to fans. BA has been gone for awhile now.
I can't wait until Washington doesn't want to sign him and BA blames it on the 49ers being friends and the whole system is rigged. lol surely that would have to be it, not all the dumb stuff he's done that has done nothing but hurt him.

I know the teams aren't angels and sometimes screw players - an overwhelming majority of this is on BA and he has to deal with those consequences. dude got mega millions and threw it away. either he has terrible people giving him advice or he is being an ego maniac and thinks what he is doing is the best way. lol My guess is that he's ignorin everyone and doing what he wants.

There's a reason that when players are in difficult situations with a team, they dont say much publically.

I feel like it's only a distraction to the team when it's an active person on the roster. cause that messes with the starting lineup, media circus, team chemistry etc. the roster is set and BA isn't apart of anything except the news cycle. he hasn't really been apart of it for most of last season too.

also, I dont think this is a distraction for the team cause I highly doubt most of, if any, the players side with BA on what's happened. kinda makes it moot, IMO.

It'd be pretty hard to construct a slander lawsuit for what he said so far. It'd have to be over something very factual and deliberately untrue.

If we're being objective, if people could sue for slander over calling someones temper as toddler, or some behavior as creepy..... half of the folks on the internet would be stuck in lawsuits.

That is why I said keep talking
Dude is probably the weirdest 49er of all time. And we had Charles Haley.

The idiot even publicly criticized the NFLPA. I'm sure they'll be eager to help him if/when the time comes
