They also need to fine him daily every day he ain't at 49ers HQ checked in to work. When he does come we call the cops, then when he makes bail, we make him undergo every physical examination possible, then fine him for conduct detrimental to the team and let him go at the LAST moment when we have to pay him

If they put him on conduct detrimental to team list I think we can go a month without paying him and not allowing him free agency. But I'm no expert.

If he never shows up, 9/1 or any other date doesn't matter anymore

I honestly doubt he could show up and play us with the Commanders and be the weapon he envisions himself. Honestly pretty sure he'd get destroyed and humiliated by Fred, Dre etc.

I hope he's stupid/stubborn enough to not apply for reinstatement so we can just keep him on the DNR list BUT a part of me kind of hopes we release him and then nobody else brings him in including Washington.

If he just stays on the DNR list that's probably best for our cap situation but I can't wait to put this thread into NFL Talk and forget this guy was a 49er(even tho I'll still appreciate the plays he did make for us) and this way we get to see all these Washington fans going to bat for him turn considering he won't actually be added by their squad.

What's the relevance of October 16 that he mentioned on his previous IG ?

October 19th (my Birthday) is when Commanders play 49ers.

Does have have to report and be reinstated BEFORE the team can cut him?

Likely not. They can release him from that list right now and cut him. The main reason they likely won't has to do with the arithmetic of his signing bonus and the corresponding cap hit

I am pretty sure I read that he has to be reinstated by the league before he can be cut.

I don't think they could just cut him today. Could they? maybe I am wrong.

At this point the Commies would be smart to ignore this dude.

Also he can't just show up and say "Hey I'm here, now release me", he has to petition the NFL to reinstate him, and he hasn't done that yet.

I'm curious what's in the petition because if he doesn't have a good reason, I'm sure the league can tell him no. Based on how he's been behaving - I think the league will "protect the shield".

peope talk about the petition like it's just paperwork thing. And it may be, but I doubt it. I can see the commissioner coming down on him.

Since the 49ers placed BA on the reserve left squad list they can also cut him and eat the immediate cap hit as well. The NFL didn't place BA on this list the Niners initiated this

BA has to get the 49ers to agree on his reinstatement as the 49ers listed him as AWOL. Then the league will approve the reinstatement. BA can't do this without the 49ers approval

Seems to me they can because they placed him on their reserve list. Any player can be cut at any time but we'd have to eat that cap hit from that signing bonus

Since it's the reserve / left squad list he has to you know, actually return to the squad…

After all it is the Niners that has him on reserve designated as having abandoned or left the squad. He HAS to return unless he's gonna wait two more years

Yup and according to him; he will never return to the 49ers facility until Wash plays the 49ers. That was assuming he's on the that team and playing in that game in his delusional mind.

I don't know how it works but doesn't he have to return to the facility for reinstatement?
