This. People so quick to blame CTE or call it mental issues blah blah blah. I call it immature and entitled brat. Oh and shtupid to use his own word

People can have mental issues and be immature/entitled/blahblahblah. These aren't mutually exclusive arguments.

Never said you can't be or have both. But what I did say was people are blaming CTE/Mental issues for the way he is and has been acting; and that's BS.

It does sound like he has been banged on the head one too many times. You can't blame people for thinking that. Whatever the cause he is acting crazy as a cut snake

Yeah, this young man is having a mental break. And the people close to him have a duty to push him to seek professional help.

Gave up millions for this rant.

Blames everyone but himself.

Mental health is one thing; entitlement, spoiled, and just plain dumb are things that come to mind for me. His family must be rich, cause he's behaving like he comes from $.

At first, this was my mindset. But as a person with a close family member who had a very similar mental break I had to get out of that mindset, put the 49er fan aside, and come at this from a human perspective. This is beyond football, beyond his career, and beyond us as fans. I've said this before, I don't take joy (not saying that you are) in seeing people at their worst. Brandon is clearly having a mental break and posting it for the world to witness. This isn't about him being entitled, spoiled, or anything. That's easy and too simplistic. The tough love approach won't help him; it'll actually make it wore and push him deeper into poor mental health.

Rich or not, the young man is a human being with frailties like any other human being. Him being in the NFL and having money don't mean that he loses his humanity. Clearly, Brandon is clearly having sad mental difficulties in front of God and the whole world. But for me, those close to him need to be pushing him to seek help. He mentioned a wife. If she's not pushing him to seek help then she's derelict of her duties as a spouse.

What!? How? Against who?
This isn't bothering anyone except 49ers fans who take this s*** personally. This is comical for a guy who's had ONE very good season. What's next??? Jake Brendel demands a trade! Calls Kyle insane for believing in him. That's the level of stupid this.

All this energy on a guy with no legacy in the league or on the 49ers. Let's be honest dude is almost 30 so what is it going to look like when he's done???

I'm not naive enough to think that another team would not sign BA if he becomes available. I'm sure many will steer clear but there is always one who says I can fix that guy. It will blow up there just like it has for every other player who's ever acted like this. AB was still a very talented WR in the end but eventually even he wasn't big enough to overcome his own ego.

Also he can't just show up and say "Hey I'm here, now release me", he has to petition the NFL to reinstate him, and he hasn't done that yet.

Can he be reinstated without physically showing up to niners HQ?

I'm telling you, he's crashing out. Really feel bad for him. What we're watching is a real mental unraveling. This isn't gonna end well for him. This is sad to watch.

I'm legitimately starting to think he literally didn't understand what the voiding of his guarantees meant in July, and when someone explained it to him after it leaked in October, he quit

He has/had an agent. I think he figured he could just "act out" and the team would cut him. It's like a 28 year old version of a temper tantrum. Act up enough and the parent(s) will give you the toy/candy. Getting on IG and literally daring the team to release him? Yeah, this is crash out temper tantrum. Even if the guy is back 100%, why would ANY team want that around?

I'm quite enjoying watching him learn consequences for his own actions. It's pretty damn funny how he didn't listen to all the people telling him not to do it and he thought he was smarter than them.

I'm certain that his agent fully informed of just where he stood with the team, informed him of the ramifications of not reporting to work, and informed him that he could apply to Roger Goodell to be reinstated off the "did not report" list. So he couldn't have thought a purposeful public tantrum would get him released. I promise you his agent let him know this.

For me, when this whole saga started I was like most. I wanted us to just release him so we can be done with it. Just recently I stated that, for his mental health, I truly hoped that Washington wants him just as much as he wants Washington. But my stance is one of compassion for the guy and not funny anymore. Given everything that has transpired I have genuine worry about his mental health. If by chance Washington was considering signing him before I find it hard to believe that the Commanders (or any team) go anywhere near him after this last video regarding the arrest warrant. That video leaves no doubt in my mind that he's not well mentally and on the brink of a mental breakdown.

His now ex agent probably did inform him. So now that we know he's been flying solo, how is this not a public temper tantrum? You can say he's not doing well mentally, but what do you think he believes will be the ultimate result of his actions from the 49ers end of things?

That's just it. You answered your own question. THIS is the essence mental illness. It's evident that he ISN'T thinking rationally. Thus, whatever it is he "believes" is painfully flawed, shouldn't be taken seriously, or even considered before he seeks professional help.

This is beyond football at this point, or even his career. This is about the bare humanity of this young man. I don't take joy (not saying that you do) in watching people at their worst, especially their mental worst. IMHO, compassion is in order, not tough love. Fans and people close to him need to be begging him to seek professional help before he does or says something he can't take back.

Too late.

Creepy predators? ???? ????

Yup. He's crossed that line. The other wild part is- let's take a look at the Washington franchise. New owners who are trying to erase the stink of the Daniel Snyder era, Adam Peters, who was a part of the 49ers F/O for 7 years, and Dan Quinn, who hired Kyle as his OC. The idea that these guys are going to bring in Aiyuk after this

But I agree with 9ersLiferinChicago. This is a total mental breakdown. I do hope he gets help. If in his mind he's going to play football in 2026 for Washington, can you imagine what he might do if he doesn't end up with them?

On another note, I notice those who were still defending him and making it seem like the team was in the wrong are silent. Something has clearly broke in Aiyuk.
I would love to see the Commanders sign Diggs and publicly say they are out of the Wide Receiver market for now 🤣
I cant wait for him not to come to the 49ers and the 49ers not releasing him because they wont have to and he sits out a full season not getting paid and he gets turned into untouchable and he goes to play in Canada got next to nothing instead of collecting his $140 million
feels like hes basically trying anything he can to get "fired" (ie, get cut) now. I wouldnt be surprised if he will be defecating on a Niners logo soon and streaming it
What it sounds like to me is BA thought because he was a 1st rd pick he should have been allowed to do whatever he wants. He also seems like he has very thin skin and can't take criticism.

In cases like these, they are often interrelated. Becoming delusional is not a symptom of merely being a stupid a*****e. It's okay to discuss personality and mental disorders in the same sentence when people go off the deep end. It's also okay to acknowledge disordered behavior so it can be avoided or helped before it gets far too gone and people hurt themselves or others.

Id believe so, he has to be reinstated before participating in training camp. Something interesting I read

Handle Representation: If the player wants to fire their agent or seek new representation, they must submit the proper termination paperwork through the NFLPA before filing for reinstatement.

I wonder if in BAs mind him not picking up the phone for his agent means he fired him 😂
