Aiyuk can start being fined $50k per day at start of training camp if he doesn't report apparently

He will never step on the field and be a distraction. If he does not walk in building they can play the fine game. Once his right foot goes thru the door he is cut.

They would never allow this distraction on the field but they can play the fine game until he enters. It's like the vampires. They can only enter if invited. He's not invited.

I go back to the video he put up immediately after the SB loss in which he made it clear he had no special affinity for the 49ers. He wanted a big bag and didn't care where it came from. Now, while that may have been fueled by emotions after the loss but, still, it was a window into his thinking and character. Everyone was sour after the loss but no one else went public with that vibe.

It may be hindsight for some people, but I was saying that way back in 2024 during the contract drama.

Why would the 49ers release him when they don't have to pay him, or pay him minimally? Players don't get paid for voluntary offseason team activities. They can qualify for workout bonuses… Aiyuk's is 100k and I don't think were necessarily aware of all the conditions that would allow him to qualify for that payout.

I think we can potentially glean information from the timing of these Aiyuk videos. He released them after news that the 49ers had cancelled their first mandatory team activity. Now the first one is in July. Perhaps he's frustrated this won't move for at least another month+.

I want to make sure this idea doesn't get confused with the conspiracy theory going around social media that the 49ers cancelled minicamp simply to screw Aiyuk. That's nonsense.

I would think if he reported in/was reinstated they will release him vs having him practice. I dont think they can prevent him from practicing if he reports, and if they did he could file a grievance. I'm sure they also don't want him practicing, get injured and now owe him $$

Regardless, from Aiyuk's perspective it doesn't make sense for him to show up to voluntary OTAs. He doesn't want to be here whether he's getting paid because he was injured in practice or not. He already has demonstrated a willingness to walk away from $26m in order to allow a divorce from the 49ers.

I wonder what would have happen if he just showed up for OTA's last week? It can't be as simple as the 49ers would have just released him. It can't be, Has to be some type of leverage they have where they can recoup more money or something. Like a failed physical designation or something like that. Its like the one poster said, there is no way the 49ers would let him walk into the building and be around the team.

It has to be something because he isnt willing to make that move and the 49ers are just at ease at playing it out. The only thing he can do is cry over social media and that is backfiring bigtime on him.

He ain't getting out until he comes back in. We are standing pat until he forces our hand. Meanwhile we are working with what should be a much improved WR room and with improved offensive personnel while BA is 2 years removed from playing football

If he wants to play for WAS and put belt to ass week 6 then he needs his release and he needs to be in TC with WAS to get in football shape and to get up to speed so he can see us week 6. The only way that happens is he does NOT speed by 49ers HQ but instead slows down and pulls up comes in and then sees the lil boys Jed John and Kyle and returns to the squad. They might then shelve him until 8/31 post TC and right prior to payday to avoid paying BA another dime. This then screws BA with prepping for his new team whomever that may be. WAS?

That I understand but it doesn't seem like the niners are going to budge & release him until he shows up. It would literally be to his benefit so he could possibly expedite moving this forward & getting on to the commanders.

I would think voluntary or mandatory, if he shows up, he can get reinstated and there can be some type of resolution
