At first I thought it might be his Mom, but you are probably correct.

I never said anything against her whatsoever, so nah.

If I felt I owed her an apology for something I would certainly do so.
I think he can't go 100% this year and probably next. Maybe this is how the team and him agreed to redo his contract. The final act has not been played.
I don't believe this entirely.

There's no way Aiyuk has been ready to go for awhile. The level of damage he had isn't something you're gonna be able to play with after 10 months post surgery without severe risk of reinjury.

BA wasn't doing so good after all the contract issues last year and came back out of football shape and seemed to be coasting through the season until he was injured. I don't know him but he given what I've read I don't think he really wants to be a Niner. He got paid and that knee injury was pretty bad. Wish the best for him but maybe he needs a new beginning elsewhere. We will probably never know the truth, but probably 50/50 on who's at fault for this sh@@show that is going on. Anyway, onto the Panthers……..GO NINERS……..

Its not beyond the realm of possibility he just doesn't like the 49ers.

There is absolutely zero rational reason for him to say "yeah, I hate this team so much that I'm just going to go ahead and light $25M on fire just to prove a point."

Something major and specific happened. It's not as simple and broad as "Aiyuk hates the team as much as ninersrule4 clearly does."

It's Aiyuks fault for being weird and it's the Niners fault for knowing this and giving him a huge contract anyways

Kyle really blew this. Let's just move on from this clown.

You have no idea what role, if any, Kyle had in the voiding of the contract. What we do know is that Kyle said it was all business and contract stuff that he has nothing to do with.

What we do know is that BA has implied, rather strongly, that he feels underused on a run first team in San Francisco.

Well, joke is on him then considering we've been the most pass heavy team in the league this season.

This guy is basically me. I have no idea what the hell is going on or went on.

Both parties look bad in this situation. BA comes off as a whining emotional diva, and the 49ers front office comes off as inept when it comes to handling contracts and player PR. BA will eventually move on but this front office continues to make itself look bad with yet another notch on one of its own. Between the Trey pick and BA situation (and everything in between), Kyle and Lynch should be licking Purdy's boots for saving their careers. No way a coach / GM duo survive all this baggage.

I guess the whole "every player in the NFL wants to play for Kyle" is no longer true.

I don't think it's about Kyle and more about the FO…but you know that doesn't fit your narrative
Or maybe its about Aiyuk being a huge b***h.

BA has always been a bit of a pain. In his rookie year, Shanahan had to get on him hard about his training and practice habits. He did respond but it may be that BA never felt comfortable with Kyle. He accepted them because he knew that was the only path to money. Now he has received a LOT of money, enough that he can raise his middle finger to Shanahan and go his own way, whatever that is.
If he sees this as somehow raising the middle finger to Shannahan he's a nut and very likely in for a rude awakening.

That episode with wearing the wrong color shorts and pushing back against Shanahan, a petty deal, comes pretty close.

I loved him as a player. He was not only a very good route runner, with reliable hands, he was also a very good blocker. However, attitude means so much in a team sport like football that it cannot be excused.
I always thought he was extremely overrated.

Yeah I agree, and don't believe that either. No team would give up anything in a trade, for a player coming off that kind of injury and with that contract - without having SOME showing of his recovery. Not playing him at all would give teams zero incentive to make an offer.
