Until he proves that he can return to form after that injury.

He will likely never return to that form.

Who said he sucks? Everyone agrees he's very good when healthy, just not great, and definitely not worth the contract given to him or the prima dona attitude. If you're gonna act like a wannabe T.O. At least play at the same level.

I believe this goes back to the drafting of Ricky Pearsall. The 49ers had already seen his attitude issues. His social media comment the day after the Super Bowl in which he clearly indicated no commitment to the stay with the 49ers were a big red flag. So drafting Pearsall covered BA's attitude problem plus gave them a man-breaker that Deebo was not. In short, they felt they covered both problem areas. We've seen enough from a healthy Pearsall to know he is all that.

As we have discussed in other threads, trading draft capital when you know you are going to have to replace BA was not a good deal. Keeping the picks to go after a college guy was the better long term move.

The 49er WR room is now fully healthy - better than it has been since 2023...and the cloud of Aiyuk's attitude is gone. He won't be missed. He only had one really good year, and that was two years ago - a faint memory now.
Aiyuk was a stud for us in his last full year. All around a reliable player, always seemed to have attitude issues but that is what it is. He looked awful after that extension signing and then the brutal injury.

I hope dude can bounce back but based on that contract and where he is - this is a win for the team. Don't know what to expect from him on the field and he's been an issue off the field. I'm sure the team would rather the massive cap space.

sucks it's turned out how it has. I hope he does well elsewhere but never against the niners/

Thanks to Aiyuk's attitude problem, we are now cap healthy in 2027 which is BIG help.

BA has always been a bit of a pain. In his rookie year, Shanahan had to get on him hard about his training and practice habits. He did respond but it may be that BA never felt comfortable with Kyle. He accepted them because he knew that was the only path to money. Now he has received a LOT of money, enough that he can raise his middle finger to Shanahan and go his own way, whatever that is.

It is a lot but small compared to what he's throwing away, he's not getting anywhere close to the same deal if he is set free. I don't even see how this can be a middle finger feel most of us including the front office have a sort of relief that we are getting the guarantees voided. A real fu would to pull a Deebo and half ass it to get paid then demand a trade

Agreed.
Never seen a stark or more precipitous fall from grace. Was always an Aiyuk fan but man I legit cannot stand this bum.

His knee and career are shot; glad this costly soap opera is over. Can't remember a time I was happier to see a player off this team.

I don't think it's about Kyle and more about the FO…but you know that doesn't fit your narrative
Or maybe its about Aiyuk being a huge b***h.

If he sees this as somehow raising the middle finger to Shannahan he's a nut and very likely in for a rude awakening.

I could start with Kinlaw and go through a few, but yeah, happy to see the cancer cut out of the team.

Agreed.

I'll miss his clean route running and his 2023 production, but I doubt we were ever getting the latter again anyway because of the injury. I'd rather cut bait now with a malcontent than pay him yet again next season.

No one knows the future. I imagine the front office expected it to turn out like Bosa - once extended he continued to be the perfect soldier, letting the off field business not effect the on field play. Hindsight being 20-20 that obviously didn't happen.

This is different than a Kinlaw who simply didn't live up to their draft status as a player on the field. Those happen for every team every year.
I predicted many weeks ago that Brandon probably would not play this season, citing the seriousness of his knee injury. However, I completely whiffed on this development. My prediction was spot on, but the reason for it was way off.

Why are you still posting?

Why are YOU still posting?

Because I didn't lose a bet that entailed not posting for 3 months. A bet that you proposed I might add .

So you think you won that bet by providing your own posts and a convoluted interpretation of mine as evidence to back up you claim?

You're hilarious.
