He couldn't come back before game 5 regardless, 6 is not bad at all.

Nobody will know when/if he can get back to 100% until it happens.

look, what if he came in never got his deal and tore his ACL? He would NEVER see a contract like he got. These guys need to take care of themselves when it comes to money, ya'll would do the same thing.

football can be over for them at any moment. Look at the LT for the chargers…When it's time to get paid, do what you gotta do….Now if you simply don't think he was worth the deal he got, that's a different debate.

FWIW BA could have caused a stink after the 2022 season because that's the first off season he could get extended…instead he busted his ass off and had a all-pro season

Agree with everything except the last part. He "could" have but that's only happens for superstars. To say he was doing us a solid not asking for an extension when he barely broke a 1000 yards is hilarious 😂. I'm sure he wanted a better season to get a better contract.

He busted his ass of cause he wanted a better deal just like every athlete trying to get paid. But after he got paid he sucked just like albert haynesworth. The reason he sucked was he was not practicing when he was under contract to do so. You can practice and ask to get a better deal. And yes, you might get hurt, it does happen. But it comes with the sport, just like teams having to deal with giving someone a huge contract then get injured. Just like the LT of the Chargers Slater.

Comparing him to Haynesworth is crazy 😂

Jennings didn't break 1000 and asked for an extension. Not sure you are making the point you meant to make.

I don't see it as hilarious, he could have sat out and asked for an extension coming off a 1K season. That's not some unrealistic thing. These dudes want to get paid asap playing a sport where you can be done at any point and don't have a ton of GTD cash like other sports

I thought he just had got a new contract last year. Guess he seen the Deebo trade and BA injury and said f**k it. Let's see if I can get more money

It was only for 2 years. This is a contract year

He had his best season BY FAR and knew he wasn't going to be able to replicate it and that the team was going to be super thin at WR ... this was the point at which he had the most leverage to get more money. It is no surprise at all that he asked for more now.

ts hilarious in the way you said it like he did us a solid 😂 Chase nor Jets got there extension till playing 4 seasons if I'm not mistaken and they've killed it for years. Sure he could have but it doesn't happen all to often

Think my point went over your head, not sure you can compare Jennings asking for a contract to a player asking for one their 3rd year on their rookie deal. I wish Ayuik asked for an extension his 3rd year

Aiyuk waited until he was in a position of strength to become a contract problem ... the same as Jennings did ... I get that. But Aiyuk is getting flack for it after playing out his contract while Jennings is not getting flack for it with a year left on his deal.

But part of MY point was you said him asking for a bigger deal after he "barely broke 1000 yards" like that's not far enough about the line to make such demands, but Jennings didn't break 1000 yards and is making demands. Both players are doing the same thing ... asking for all they can get from a position of strength. Aiyuk knew the 49ers were very unlikely to let him go so he had to maximize his money then, and Jennings knows he not likely to match his best year this year so he has to make his move now.

I wouldn't be mad if Ayuik asked for an extension in 22 not even saying he wouldn't have merit to do so. It's just funny to say he "could have" like he was doing us a favor 😂 Again the holdout nor contract isn't the main issue with Ayuik it's how he's gone about and dropping passes that could of won a game didn't help. Also Ayuik had a 5th year option so he still was under contract otherwise there wouldn't have been talks about trading him to Washington
Jennings isn't catching as much flack because he's been a professional throughout and has shown loyalty through the years. Also I don't think you can necessarily say he's holding out he has a calf injury "supposedly" but if I remember he was out practicing after asking for an extension
