Shanny also said it could be as late as week 10. So much for that poster on here during the offseason that assured us BA would have a 1k season.

Niners' fans should go into the year as if BA isn't on the team because he's not going to help them much this year if at all. Even if BA comes back in the middle of the season, he's going to look very similar to he did last year coming in extremely rusty in addition to being a little slower and stiffer this time. In other words, toss BA's 2025 year out of the window.

Exactly, he'll be back later in the season but I doubt we see BA of old until the next if ever honestly. There were a couple posters saying he'll be ready for week 1 cause they saw him hobbling around early in the offseason.
Idk if these posters are trolling, overly optimistic, or just in denial of his situation. Surgeries have improved but most players are never the same again after that kind of injury

Concern is his work ethic. We saw how rusty he came back last year taking nearly a quarter of the season before resembling his old self after an extended hold out. I don't think he's going to push and fight to be back but ride it out as it comes. He's no Jerry Rice.

Idk if I'd question his work ethic, you don't run routes at an elite level without putting in some serious work. He was rusty cause he missed training camp protecting himself till he got paid. Now that he has been paid it could be possible he's not putting in the same effort but hasn't shown he isn't. He has however shown signs of disgruntlement which could be an indication. He was in Shannys dog house early in his career and fans have been bashing him for acting like a diva as soon as it was payday and ever since

His worth ethic? Dude was the best offensive player in camp in 2023. Kid busted his ass off to get to that point. Blame everyone involved for not getting his deal done before camp.

It's gonna be able condition and having the right mentality to run with no thoughts of injury…as long as he doesn't have any setbacks.

I would agree with you if he was not already under contract for the year. He was after an extension. He could have done that while attending training camp and actually participating in it. He let them know that he wanted that extension and then sat in. I really like the kid, but that was a B.S. move. All business on his part, but let the team and the fan take a back seat to his money grab.

That's not how it works anymore, we see it every off season now. Guys don't come into camp when in a heated contract negotiation. Fans need to understand this and kinda get over it.

look, what if he came in never got his deal and tore his ACL? He would NEVER see a contract like he got. These guys need to take care of themselves when it comes to money, ya'll would do the same thing.

football can be over for them at any moment. Look at the LT for the chargers…When it's time to get paid, do what you gotta do….Now if you simply don't think he was worth the deal he got, that's a different debate.

FWIW BA could have caused a stink after the 2022 season because that's the first off season he could get extended…instead he busted his ass off and had a all-pro season

He busted his ass of cause he wanted a better deal just like every athlete trying to get paid. But after he got paid he sucked just like albert haynesworth. The reason he sucked was he was not practicing when he was under contract to do so. You can practice and ask to get a better deal. And yes, you might get hurt, it does happen. But it comes with the sport, just like teams having to deal with giving someone a huge contract then get injured. Just like the LT of the Chargers Slater.
