If this happens again with Purdy next year then I'm done with Marathe. I have no clue why this fanbase worships him so much. He was mostly to blame for the Baalke/Harbaugh leaking fiasco and now he keeps procrastinating every single offseason and it's costing us dearly. We have more than enough data to know that waiting until the last minute to extend stars is a bad move

Im not sure what the true prospect on LMC is, but I doubt Washington departs with their rookie

Folks gotta understand DC moving Dotson has nothing to do with BA. If you paid attention to their TC reports you'd see that literally every legit WR was playing ahead of him. Multiple reports said for weeks that his roster spot was in jeopardy. Kliff didn't like him for this team.

DC was out of the BA sweepstakes a while ago. I can't imagine they'd up their offer now right before the season starts.

if Pitt was legit a thing, he'd be gone by now.

See, I don't see a trade happening now. Timing is all off. Short of some major injury to a star WR, on a team that can also afford BA, that BA would be willing to sign an extension with (odds of the stars aligning for this to happen is about zero), where is the incentive for the involved parties?

BA signs with the 49ers before week one because his other options are horrible. Then he either plays six games to accure a season and gets a phantom injury, or he plays like s**t for the first half of the season like Bosa. All outcomes suck.

I have the opposite feeling. I think the closer this gets to week one the odds probably increase they'll trade him.

I am not worried about what BA does because I have faith in Brock Purdy to diagnose defenses and then put the ball on the receivers so they can make plays

I wonder if Aiyuk is just pushing it right up to the start of the season, to see what the best and final the team will offer. If so, annoying. Especially if reports are right that a majority of the contract is agreed to.

or he may just be waiting to see if CeeDee signs and if he will be able to get more once that happens.

either way, I'm not expecting him week 1. I just hope Trent is there. Hopefully he's there but I'm not expecting him anymore.

Yeah, I'm much more concerned about Trent being there week 1. Brock has a lot of talent around him - he should be able to make it work. It is a really tough defense but hopefully so is ours.

the amount of money he's paid out in "signing bonus" is insane too. Kudos to him - without him allowing us to do that, resigning these players wouldn't be possible.
